During pre-game show, announcers built up Favre like he was the 2nd coming. Of course he threw three picks.

Sure the Packers lost and I for one was surprised that they stayed in the game as long as they did, but I must admit that in the 1st half I was enjoying the angst that Holmgren had on his face when the Seattle offense couldn't move the ball. I'm not going to blame the refs for this loss, the Packers had 2 turnovers that they didn't get TDs on, plus on one of those turnovers that went for no points they were driving for a TD and Favre threw an int. When a team like the Packers, that aren't as good as a team like the Seahawks, they need to capitlize on mistakes like that and if they had I really think they could have won the game even with the mistakes the refs made. Every game has bad calls from the refs and it's up to the teams to over come them. I definatly think the NFL needs to simplify the rule book and make it easier for the refs to call a game.

Bill I agree with that. Also, our red zone offense needs to improve. We can't accept 3 points on a regular basis. McCarthy needs to emphasize red zone during practice.

For the 1st time this season I actually didn't get some of the play calling either. I think the Packers are going in the right direction though. One other thing I liked from last night was after Favre's 1st interception McCarthy found him on the sideline and gave him a little talking to.

That is an excellent point no other coach except Holmgren would give Favre shit and Mc Carthy at least talked to him,,but,, you can tell he wasnt a happy camper about it

From my point of view. Before the missed field goal...it appeared McCarthy lost faith in Favre and ran the ball rather then pass for a TD. Even the commentators questioned the call. Perhaps MM is beginning to loose confidence in his QB.

McCarthy is a total hack of a coach who has no business being in that position. Nothing he did in his past impressed any other team enough to even warrant an interview. He should be embarassed by his coaching, his plays, his coaching staff and hideous crap we've seen.

If he didn't have Favre right now, we would be winless with this roster. Thompson and McCarthy can leave anytime, and I would not miss them a bit.

Just remember, in the first half McCrappy called only 7 passing plays, four of which Favre completed, one of which was that idiotic call to send Bubba "I couldn't run if my life depended on it" Franks on a deep post. That wasn't some gunslinger move, that was a coach original. Then McCarthy goes into his hibernation run left run left run right run somewhere until maybe something happens mode.

They need to simplify it so stupid packer fans can understand what is going on.

There would be a lot more interceptions by Favre.

I agree with the Bear fan and it appears Favre screwed up on a Martin route and Favre ended up getting mad at Martin even though it appears Martin ran the right route. I think McCarthy is doing a fine job and is going to be a good coach but I'm starting to beleive that Favre might be done after this year.
