Could this really come to fruition, we have a plethora of backs now, do we really need another one? Why can't Moats be a third down back? What do you guys think?

Moats would make a fine 3rd down back, I don't see much reason for westbrook if they signed moats. Westbrook is a ankle injury waiting to happen.

If we did not sign Moats I would be all for grabbing Westbrook but I don't see a need for him now.

Mentioned today on Sportcenter that there are a couple teams interested in Westbrook and they expect him to sign right before camp begins, they also said Minnesota is one of the teams interested.

Yeah, I don't see where he would fit now, if he did come aboard Young and Johnson would have to be moved either to the PS or out of town, they also mentioned the 'skins were interested.

Vikings could of had BW all along.
I would think because of his concussion issues, they aren't interested.
Now if someone gets hurt,maybe.

We drafted Gerhart in the 2nd then sign Moats and still looking at Westbrook. What does that tell you about Gerhart?

It says we should have selected Jahvid Best a true 3rd down back like I suggested.

I still say sign Westbrook

We didn't need a 1st rd.RB and the salary that comes with it.
RB was not a priority.
When will you get it?
Moats is a fine back, for how he'll be used.
Did great for my Viking topix fantasy team last season as well. Not a featured back, but he got me points when and where I needed him.
Our 1st round need was where we drafted and spent the cash. Not on a backup 1st rd. J.Best.
Some people never get it.
As far as BW,I suspect what i stated above.
Either way Childress goes is fine with me.

We lost Taylor. Good managers replace the position we lost. You will see the mistake the vikings and you made when Detroit plays.

What changed you? on draft day you said Gerhart was Dave Osborne like. That isn't a compliment. Osborne was 3 yard and a cloud of dust.
You will see.

3 yards and a cloud of dust...sounds great when you only need 2 yards. Gerhart will be fine, just wait. A lot better receiver than most people expected, and a fine blocker on blitzes. I doubt that he will get much of a chance to show what he's got with A.D. as our main back.

I don't want my high 2nd round pick to be a fine blocker and better receiver then expected. We were poised to replace Taylor with the new Marshall Faulk, that's who Jahvid Best is. We selected an offensive lineman moonlighting as a running-back. Gerhart shuffled a 4.58. Best has hall of fame talent. That pick was inexcusable.

This is the 1st year since topix's inception the Vikings and I weren't on the same DRAFT page. Peterson, Rice and Harvin are my allstar draft picks.
I doubt if Gerhart gets 3000 years career.

I bet Ryan Moats and AP fumble 3000 times in their career
