Quality veteran wideout with speed
Quality tight end to replace Nandez and spell Gronk while he is out
Quality pass rusher to link up with Jones
Quality defensive back for press coverage who is not afraid to tackle
And finally, a safety who can cover not just quard against the run
If an old ball coach like myself can see these glaring needs it should cause one to wonder why the Pats can't see the needs right under their noses. And why they keep paying a management team that hasn't a clue in the area of personnel selection, both player and more importantly, the guy who hires management.
When a team's formula for victory requires a great QB to play better than great AND some luck, then it's time to change the formula, and more importantly, the management that came up with that formula.
