Of course the Pats are in danger. They've got no receivers, no tight ends, a defense that is unproven and more than just considerable issues that take their focus away. Looks like a recipe for disaster. Yet football tends to be disaster after disaster, and the Pats are in a weak division, so if they can find a way to improve week to week, there is a chance they could gel come the postseason. Wouldn't bet on it but with #12 they at least got a shot. Of the 18 guys I've canvassed, 11 say Atlanta vs Denver with it being Peyton's to lose, and 8 think he will (mess it up that is). The only other agreement, 3 guy have the 49er winning it all regardless of who they play. One each pick Green Bay, Giants, Seattle and Texans. What no Cowboy takers.

Pats are not necessarily in danger if they can protect Brady and find some fleet of foot players (running backs, TEs or receivers (probably Amendola and Vereen)) to gain separation so Brady will have a window to throw to. The better the protection the longer/greater the chance of a window opening up for those not so fleet of foot. Hey, guys can dream can't they?
At least the defense should be a bit better and they tend to get better as the season progresses. Heres hoping.
