Yamon needs to step up, as does everyone on this team. This weekend will be very telling about where this team is and how far it has to go.

I agree that Figurs need to step up. I believe he will because he won't a choice but to. I think he can create problems for teams if he utilized properly. I would suggest using him on some screens to get him out in space where his speed can become a factor. He has talent for sure it's just a matter of untapping it.

Figurs is terrible. I can't believe the coaching staff can't see that. I have yet to see him have a good game returning the football this year and he continues to keep that job. Leonhard while slower would do a much better job. Now he's a WR that is seeing significant playing time???? What a joke. Just really don't understand how this team fails to land quality WR's year in year out. I mean Mason has been solid, but we've really had no one else the last 8 or so years.

The reason why Figurs has been noticably inept this year returning the football is because he had a hamstring injury. He was also battling a knee injury too. Being a speed guy which he is, a hamstring injury is your worse nightmare. He can return kickoffs just look at what did last year. The talent is there. To answer about landing WR talent, that boils down to the system. Billick system NEVER utilize WR talents. All you could do in his system was run 7 yard curls routes. Cam's system is much different. I think you will see that in the coming weeks. If Boller can get 5 years to prove himself why can't figurs?

I could care less if he's hurt. He stinks this year. If he's not going to perform for whatever reason, don't play him. End of story. |

Figurs isn't a poor receiver because he's been hurt -- he's a poor receiver because he was a poor receiver even back in college. What in the world is going on with 6'5", 220 lb ERNIE WHEELWRIGHT? Are these coaches blind?
Oh...and the thought of Brian Billick coaching the Detroit Lions just made my day.(As if that team doesn't have enough problems as it is.) |
