The only way it makes any sense not to start Flacco is if we would have a better option or someone for him to learn from. What is Joe Flacco going to learn from sitting on the bench? Absolutely nothing. There isn't a veteran there to learn from. Flacco has shown an ability to learn quickly and pick up the offense.
Preston talked about Flacco being mesmerized out there and not being able to find his reciever. That's just stupid. I guess those passes to Clayton and Williams just accidentally fell into their hands.
Football is a business. You put the team out there that gives you the best chance to win, no matter if that includes a rookie quaterback. People are so scared Flacco is going to be the next Boller, but Flacco is nothing like Boller. He has size, he has poise, and he has a natural throwing motion, unlike what Boller has. Oh yeah, he can also handle the snap without dropping the ball or tripping over the center.
Get off the Troy Smith bandwagon. And yeah i think it does matter that Joe Flacco played better than Matt Ryan. Ryan is already starting and if Flacco can play better, why can't he get a chance.
Well said. I've been preaching this for a week but some fans just don't get it or are too biased to admit it. Baltimore needs to get over the Boller experience and put it our of their minds. repeat after me; "Joe Flacco is not Kyle Boller. Joe Flacco is not Kyle Boller....."

You are just another hater putting up posts.
What is the obvious reasons he wants Smith to start. Dont make this another Stoney Case vs Tony Banks. You already made a good point then you went with the sarcastic remark at the end. Dont be a bonehead, i want whoever is going to help the ravens move the ball and win. Color dosen't matter. Stick to the sports please

I think preston has been so focused on criticizing every Ravens qb for so long that he doesn't know the signs of a good one. I'm not jumping the gun and saying Flacco is a pro bowl player right now, but what has he done to suggest that he's at the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

Any guy who says that Troy has been making nfl throws, and applauds him for running out of the pocket after he makes his first read clearly has lost sign of what good qb play is. Is preston taller than Troy? Maybe he can't see over the OL either...

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Cancer

No one can accuse you of being a wallflower today! The modern cowboy or cowgirl has a tendency to shoot from the lip and you won't be afraid to tell it like it is. Your response will be quick, and your timing near perfect. If you don't accomplish what you set out to do this morning by the end of the day, it won't be for lack of trying. Getting an 'A' for effort is sometimes better than facing the test.
