Ex-Patriots glad they've moved on

Full story: Fort Collins Coloradoan

It's a business. Everything is understood. ... I think just overall, I'm feeling good - I'm feeling real good - here. 'I don't think either side has a hard feeling about how it ended. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Daniel Graham left the Patriots after last season. Now with the mediocre Denver Broncos, the former captain doesn't regret missing a chance to go undefeated. via Fort Collins Coloradoan

of course they would say they are glad they "moved on" otherwise it would sound like "sour grapes" ever heard of the concept?
Really a dumb article, silly too.

it is rediculous. how can these guys be happy to go other places and struggle. its no secret that the nfl is about business but it seems to be another excuse to not like the pats. the pats are about TEAM not INDIVIDUAL. thats why they win. these guys in this article wanted to put themselves first with their paycheck and thats why they were cut. if deion branch got what he wanted then the pats would have caved into the individual and then be like most other franchises. also now, branch has his money but hasnt done anything since he left. he is mediocre at best in seattle but prefers to be mediocre on a mediocre team in a mediocre division because he is getting paid.
graham can go too since he couldnt catch a ball to save his life, maybe thats why they didnt want to pay him. if he never played for the pats i wouldnt even know who he is. he has never been mentioned among top tight ends, even with the pats, and i cant recall how many times i was yelling at the tv because of him dropping perfect passes for first downs while wide open.
the pats play to win, not to get paid top dollar. it seems like these guys are being politically correct in what they say but deep down they regret trying to put themselves first.

Has it ever occured to you that maybe not everyone wants to play for a always negative never good enough type coach. I know it is hard for you to believe but i dont think every player in the NFL wants to be a Patriot. Take of your tunnel vision glasses and look at real life outside your Patriot world you revolve around

speaking from the outside looking in you wouldnt know that what you are saying isnt true. ive seen belichick in practices and he is always joking and having fun with the guys because they have proven to him they get the job done and practice hard. as for your tunnel vision, i dont think EVERY player wants to be a patriot but every player wants to be competitive and have a coach like belichick who isnt satisfied. if you actually listen to his press conferences after games you will really hear him praise his team and say how he thinks we did some good things today and individually praise certain players for their accomplishments.
as for the two in the story they were greedy and wanted to get paid rather than win and thats why they are on teams going down and not up. they chose to take the paycheck and put themselves above the team and thats why they are getting paid alot but not accomplishing anything where they are now.
daniel graham cant catch anyway so denver can have him and the pats dont want players who are going with the mememe theme during the preseason holding out for more money. if moss turns out to be that way then he will get released too but given the fact he is making the bare minimum right now and having a blast i dont see him expecting a giant contract taking 30% of the salary cap like your quarterback did.
you have also spoken like a true nonathlete. if you ever played sports you would know that you dont want a coach thats happy with mediocrity, you want a coach that pushes you, thats why the pats win, they are taught never to be satisfied and understand they can always get better. maybe you should interview a real athlete and ask them which type of coach they want, the guy who always pushes them to get better and never lets them get content or the coach that is happy with an 8-8 season. get real, everyone wants a coach like belichick and there are plenty of them around. make no mistake, he is only perceived as a jerk to other teams and their fans but his players love him and you can see it on the sidelines during the game, in interviews and how they lay it all on the line for him on the field. thats why they are the best team in the nfl.

not being satisfied is not just the patriot world i revolve around. if you look at any successful person in this world you would see the same type of attitude, never being satisfied, always striving for more. its people like you who want to get paid top dollar for minimal work that makes this country ship jobs overseas. i try to apply the attitude of the pats to my own life and guess what, its got me going in the direction i want. its opening doors for me unlike you who sits on your couch and waits for the doorbell to ring offering you the world. you got to get up and take what you want to be successful and its funny, the people who take what they want happen to be exactly like the pats, successful.

There is one reason and one reason only that these players moved on.
