Coach Lovie and chronie Bob babich are doing an underwhelming job with the level of talent on this team.

Maybe a rookie can argue that mistackling is due to lack of coaching, but not "pro bowlers." They wanna get paid like the top guys at the position but perform worse than rookies.

Definitely these are all great suggestions but unfortunately the bad move that may be uncorrectable is replacing Rivera with Babich. Coach Smith is learning the hard way that diverse opinions on a coaching staff are a good thing IF you can manage it. Yes, Rivera was a "holdover" from the previous staff, but what were you afraid of? You make it to the Super Bowl and then can your DC because you feel uncomfortable with him around?? This is where coaches can separate themselves from the rest of the pack but many of them fail. Instead of doing what was best for the team, he did what best for himself.

Agreed...Getting rid of Rivera so he could bring in his buddy Babich..What a terrible idea!!! Maybe they should get rid of Lovie and bring back Rivera or maybe Singletary!! He doesn't look right on the 49ers sidelines!

Personally, I grew mighty tired of Rivera constantly shopping his resume around for a head coaching position, although Babich is WAY over his head.

Singletary would be an instant hero in this town. I think Lovie is very afraid of competition from his assistant coaches & he should be, because he's really looking like a crappy coach.

If Rivera was not so interested in getting a Head Coaching job during the playoffs and actually game planned, maybe the defense wouldnt have lost the superbowl for us, and forcing grossman to actually "attempt" and might i add, miserably, win it for us.

I'll take it one step forward, neither of those two should coach for the bears, ever, he threw rex grossman under the bus as the scapegoat for his inability to do his "coordinating" through the playoffs.

All that resume' throwing and where did it get him? D-line coach? LOLOL

good riddance

Dimz you are so out of touch. Why would a guy like Rivera not go interview? You think he would want to be a d coordinator his whole life? When an opportunity arises you got to take it.

Throwing his resume around? You act like he was responding to want ads. You really are clueless aren't you.

So do you care to retract any of your statements about Orton? Or are you still on the RIOG bandwagon?
