Being there for his daughter, and having HIS back sliced and dice are two, completely different scenarios.

Speaking of overrated and overpaid; why is Jason McKie still on this team?
He's in to block and half the time, he misses his blocks.
That's a very good point. Why didn't we ever try to convert Anthony Thomas to fullback? Having him blocking for Thomas Jones would have made for an awesome backfield. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess.

That's pretty low considering Harrington was nothing. Not worried about Stafford now, but in a couple of seasons because Stafford is going to spend most of his rookie season picking himslef up off the ground and clearing his facemask of turf.
The only time I saw Rodgers was against the Bears, and the Bears made every QB they faced look great last season. That's why I didn't think he was anything special. Plus the Packers was one of the few teams that beat the Bears on the ground because they switched up their defense to stop the pass tha game, and Babbich could only handle one thing at a time. If the Bears D can make Griese look like he's heading to the Pro Bowl, I'm sure you can understand. And it wasn't by choice that I didn't see a lot of games. I was in the South Pacific and only had time with my beloved "sling box" to watch the Bears.
Being that you're from Georgia, I'll take your word for it because I only saw Stafford a handful of times, but the games I did see, he had the look and mechanincs of a solid NFL QB and if there's one thing Detroit isn't short on, it's talented and young WR's for him to throw to.
Stafford never looked good against a good defense. That is why I don't think highly of him. Teams that had talent on the d-line caused him to struggle. When he had time to sit back and wait for the play to develop, he can make all the throws but he won't have that time in Detroit. Teams are going to come at a rookie or any other qb until he proves he can beat the pressure with quick reads or adjustments at the line. Stafford never did that. He is the classic example of potential/physical tools being overrated. Jamarcus Russell can throw the ball 50 yards with his left hand. Doesn't do him much good though. It is accepted league wide the pukers problems were on defense. not offense. Rodgers had a good season.. I moved to Georgia a few years ago at the request of my neighbors in Chicago...L O L and have been forced to watch more sec games than I care to. In games against the better teams, Stafford looked ordinary.
Rodgers numbers

Not a bad season.. And thanks for your service!!!!
