Methinks Mrs. Morgan put her foot down on this matter. I would have done the same. Enough is enough! It's just too bad that Dan had so many injuries in his short NFL career, but all those concussions! NO WAY he should be playing anymore.

Loser former dt: Could you not read the article since it wasnt in ebonics? He lef the team in tackles in the super bowl but since he didnt play both ways, how could he help the offense score?

Yeah right, he sure can't compete. All he did was play well enough to be a number one draft pick, make it as a starter in the NFL, play in the Super Bowl, make All Pro and have a great productive life in front of him.

All the while you sit home in a dark room and type on a computer.

Congrats to Dan Morgan for knowing when to get out. Sounds like he will do just fine after football.

JPT salutes Dan Morgan, a class act and a super football player since HS.

Best Wishes and Luck to you and your family. Moving out of South Florida was wise. Your legacy at LPT will live on.

Thanks for your support of the school and everything else you have done for JPT.

We will miss seeing you on the NFL field but hope to hear more of your business adventures and your wonderful family!!!!

Former DT is an A.H.- obviously he never learned to read, just a jerk.

I'm sorry to see a good player have to end a career so soon, but the body will talk to you - you just have to listen - Dan listened and knew it was time to throw in the towel before he got a really serious injury, why jepardize his life with his family? Smart move, but a sad one.

Thanks Dan for the memories and smart decision. I'm happy that you've decided to make Charlotte your permanent home. It's great to have good people like you in our great state. Also Go CANES!!
