This is great news. A new stout and highly competative LB corps. Now all we need is a CB or a S to give the Saints the best Def in the leauge. If the Saints can draft Cramartie or Phillps and a LB in the 2nd and DT in the 3rd RB/WR in the 4th a C/G in the 5th and a TE. The Saints are back in the NFC Champinship game already with the new players coming in. Maybe Sean could look at Hall (CB) at joining the Saints next. GEAUX SAINTS

Good signing. We'll see if he can actually stay healthy for a season. This, by far, is the best free agency the Saints have ever had. We always rely on the draft and it never works out (see Robert Meachum). I agree Cromartie would be a great pick but, I'd like to see them snag Lito Shepard instead of DeAngelo Hall for a lesser price and more experience then grab a decent big-bodied DL to replace Thomas when he's done.....let's face it he doesn't have much left in the tank. All in all I'm excited to see what happen in the draft....hopefully they don't screw it up an grab a kicker.
Love my Saints!!

Way to go Saints. Pass on Landon Johnson to sign a guy that has had so many concussions he can't keep from drooling on himself. I bet he doesn't even suit up this year. Just like the previous two. Smart move.

Do yall think saints trying to change to 3-4 defense. Thats 3 middle linbackers they sign. We need to trade duece or charles grant to atlanta for deangelo hall or phil lito sherpard n take atlanta spot in the draft pick up the guy from USC with there pick and trade our pick down and still get a cornerback. Still thought we should have got a receiver n running back in free agent. backup QB like joey harrington or leftrich

Hey they should have got L.B. Johnson but I like the move if he stay healthy. They need a back up QB leftrich dose sound to bad and they can trade big duece for any of those guys and give those guy our 2rd draft pick. Then we can pick RB form Oregon steward are that USC tightend then get a safty in the 2. RD. are a big ass tackler. With these add on = superbowl my friends.

Dan will work out for the team. Can anyone remember Bress when they signed him. He was banged up as well. I still think that if they trade down in the draft and pick up Cramarti, and get another 3rd rounder or somthing, would put the Saints on top of the NFC. I do think I will change my mind about Hall, the Saints only need talent not attitud. Shepard would be ok, but I am starting to think we are set after the draft. However, when Thorp gets into town, the Saints need to keep him there as well as re-sign johnson. I really like the Saints bringing in McCray 'cause then Grant could play at DT and our line up would look something like this:

DE Smith, McCray
DT Grant, Young
MLB Vilma, Simenu
WLB Morgan, Shanle
SLB Fugita
CB Gay, David
CB Young, Cramarti, Mckinsie(after rtn frm injury)
SS Harper
FS Buluks

This Def looks like a receipe for a Superbowl in '08. I like young at CB due to the experince he got last year.

Not worried about off. Bress will find a way to score points. If the draft a Mike Hart than they will be dangerous.

Sorry Guys But it is time to get what we can out of deuce.Trade him to philly for shepard. We Dont want Deangelo Hall He runs his mouth to much.We Should get a pass rusher in the middle of the line and that would make a huge difference on the secondary they won't have to cover as long.I like the mike hart idea But we also need to get Brees Somebody opposite of colston Patten is nice but nobody is scared of him.

crowded backfield of talented RB's......DEUCE is odd man out. I love the added cap space of his absence. the rookie from illinois went off against the bears in the last game of the season with 110 yds rushing and 120 yds receiving. I think he has just as much potential as deuce if not more.....of course bush is still in the mix

Morgan is a good/cheap back up and special teamer. He's a win-win. If he works out, great pick up, if not, oh well. A small one year contract isn't going to hurt us at all. I also agree about Deuce. I loved ya from day one, but it's time to get what we can for ya. Sorry. DT is one of our biggest faults on defense. Really, D-Line in general. Smith and Grant could be better for what we pay them. With a solid D-Line, the pressure is off the Secondary. Average cornners can look like pro-bowl material when your line is constantly disruppting every play. Then you only have to rush four and drop seven. Even the best QBs struggle against that (just look at the superbowl this year). Overall, I'm really happy with this offseason. The only negative so far has been letting Faine go to TB, but you can't pay everybody. Good job front office....a solid -A.

I think we need to trade Reggie Bush for Hall and along with swaping our first round draft picks. Then we could draft Mcfadden and shore up our secondery. We need to get what we can now for Bush while he still has value.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
