WOW...!!!! Lets see, Darren Sharper 4 time pro bowler. Angelo says, NO. Ok how about 5 time pro bowler Roy Williams, Angelo says NO. Ok how bout backup scrub for the New Orleans Saints Bullocks? Angelo says YES!!! 1 year under a million, Oh Jerry is salivating at the mouth.

It's not that I'm upset because we didn't sign any big name free agents this year, It's because WE NEVER DO. Unless you consider B.Lloyd, M. Booker, A. Archuletta, D. Walker, F. Miller, R. Manning Jr. with Moose Muhhamad being the only solid offseason pickup since our 1985 Bears.

And now we bring in yet another backup position player. In typical Angelo fashion he ends up getting a scrub for 1 yr less than a million. Jerry is patting himself on the back as we speak. How about 4 time Pro Bowler Sharper and 5 time Pro bowler Roy Williams? Angelo's answer,........NO!!!

What are you going to tell me all you ANGELO LOVERS, Sharper is 33 yrs old and he's washed up or Roy Williams is 28 yrs old and washed up or they must be horrible if Angelo Says so.

How about Orlando Pace? Are you going to tell me oh he's 33 yrs old and he hasn't played a full season and his best days are over. Really......??? 14 games played last year and guess what..........0 sacks allowed.

It's called taking a risk, a gamble whatever and however you want to describe it, nothing is guaranteed in life, it's called having a PAIR.....!!! Grow some Angelo and all your brainwashed followers who call themselves the REAL CHICAGO BEARS FANS.

I bleed ORANGE AND BLUE!!!

Go to nola.com (the New Orleans Times Picayune newspaper) and see how excited the Saints fans are now that they've unloaded Bullocks on us.

I guess that's why they say "Penny Wise and Pound Foolish."

I agree with all the observations that Poster Deep Dish made in regards to Jerry Angelo's failure to bring in a solid position player. Wouldn't Darren Sharper fit in perfectly with the Bears,if I'm not mistaken, the Vikings did use variations of the Cover 2 scheme. The Bears are the worst at evaluating talent and I can see another disastrous draft selections made by Angelo. I find it funny that the one season the Bears make it to the SuperBowl was all because of big free agent signings, the last 2 seasons we fail to make the playoffs because we do nothing in terms of free agency.

Free safety Josh Bullocks, who spent four seasons with New Orleans, agreed to a one-year deal that includes $525,000 guaranteed.

"Josh fits what the Bears are looking for—he is big and athletic with range and ball skills," his agent, Jeff Nalley, said. "The Bears' defensive scheme and players will allow him to do what he does best."

Wrong Jeff Nalley, Let me tell you the real reason Bullocks fits this team. It's because the price was right. Nothing like loading our rosters with backups and guys that sign for under a million. Can't wait to buy those Super Bowl tickets!

I don't know how Jerry can feel good after breaking the bank today. He might have to pay a visit to McCaskey and Phillips to explain this spending splurge.

This behavior is unacceptable at Halas Hall and will not be tolerated.

I just hope that Jerry doesn't worry and gets a good night sleep. The guilt must be tearing him up inside!

One step forward (dumping a highly drafted bust), another step back (signing a safety who's a liability in coverage that couldn't his job from a poor pass D)

Unbelieveable!! This team is pathetic! How do you pass uo Williams and Sharper with 9 pro bowls between them and opt for a backup with poor cover skills. Wow! I can't wait to see how that talking bear head Larry Mayer will spin this one. I said it before if you stop buying tickets to bear games management will change. Or, just hope for another sorry season and that might bring change also. Does anyone actually think this team will win over 6 games this year. Have you seen the schedule? Better still, have you seen this team?

Another scrub signing by the Bears. I have become so frustrated with their tactics the past few years. Maybe Angelo thinks that if they announce "He's our guy" Bullocks will play like a pro-bowler. Seems to be their strategy. Put all their chips behind a scrub-ass scrub and hope that they can make something out of the Doyle Brunson. I don't even want to watch next season. It's going to be terrible.

This front office/ownership garbage has to stop. I hope this terrible strategy doesn't cost Lovie Smith his job. He's a great coach. Number 1 pick in 2010, here we come!

Couldn't agree more. It all starts from the top. This is pathetic. Unless people stop buying tickets, the organization will not make any moves because the money still flows in. McCaskeys and Angelo believe that they did their job if the Bears win the division and make the playoffs. They don't care if they don't win the super bowl. As long as the bears somehow manage to get into the playoffs with a 10-6 record, they will call the season a success.

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace.
