I have got to side with Ricky Manning Jr. on this issue. 19 int's. 5 in the playoffs and he always seems to make big plays in big games. Besides that Graham, McBride and Bowman are not as veteran savvy as Ricky and you tell me, if Charles or Nathan went down I'll bet my hand on Ricky over the rest of the bunch at this stage of the game anyway, Lovie is WRONG on this one and is making himself look a little stupid!?! Say what you will it's true!!

We threw away Todd Johnson, Cameron Worrell, and Chris Harris last year so that Danieal Manning could become an uncontested starter who eventually relinquished his job to All-Pro Brandon McGowan. Now we're throwing away Ricky Manning so that Danieal Manning can become the uncontested nickel corner who will eventually relinquish his job to All-Madden '08 Trumaine McBride. Danieal Manning is a bad player. He makes Walt Harris look like Rod Woodson. He makes Marty Carter look like Ronnie Lott. He makes Wayne Brady look like Malcolm X. He is not good. At all. He's a backup in the Arena League. He was a marginal starter at Abilene Christian. He couldn't hold Roosevelt Williams' jock if you packed in his lunchbox and zipped it in his JanSport. He sucks.

How difficult is it to work against the Bears #1 defense in practice? If you watch ESPN and read the national media, the Bears SUCK, so ...

You can see all of that from Mesa? Don't you think the coaches watch everything? How much film have you studied? Coaches do what they think they need to do to win. Otherwise they're gone. The ones who are biased are fans who don't really understand coaching or what goes in to making up a team but think they do. I think it's pretty obvious who "is WRONG on this one and making himself look a little stupid!?!"

bazuin, wasted 4th round pick, garrett wolfe, wasted 3 rd round pick. Angelo picks is the only reason there still around. They are not NFL players.

Alex, I partially agree with you (and I am sure you do not give a dam whether I do or don’t). But if you rewind the tape and look at the 2006 season you will see a bunch of good plays made by Daniel. Of course, he blew the coverage in the Super Bowl on the Colts’ first touchdown, but he looked solid. He is definitely athletic. Actually, he is, or was in 2006, the fastest player in the secondary. I agree with you that the coaching staff has made bad decisions by moving him all around, affecting other players. As to Chris Harris, I was a huge fan. He was a hard-nose, hard-hitting, great-instincts strong safety. Unfortunately, the Bears (most probably Lovie) thought that Archuleta was going to be an upgrade. Of course, they were wrong, and Archuleta confirmed why he was benched by the Skins. Anyway, I think Daniel is worth some of the changes they continue making. Now, Ricky Manning Jr. is a far better nickel than Manning or the other CBs, at least he is more experienced and has showed his playmaking ability. Go Bears!

Rick you criticized me for my stance on Ricky Manning but the proof is in the pudding with him. Ricky has been a pretty special nickel corner since his rookie season in Carolina and his stats in his first 6 yrs. of his career are all I need to know to defend his abilities against the other guys who have yet to play in the NFL(Graham,McBride,Bowman.) So you tell me Rick is Manning Jr. being pushed down the depth chart because of his abilities against a group of rookies, or is his 1 sub-par year putting him in a dog house with a coaching staff that hasn't exactly proven consistently on judging talent?!? And by the way Rick, Mesa or not those 19int. and 5 in the playoffs SHOULD be clear to everyone, even is Wisconsin!!

I wish the Bears would give Garrett Wolfe a real shot at proving himself. It defies logic that they won't, at the very least, give him more extended work with special teams as a returner in the event Hester gets hurt or moved solely to offense. I watched him, year after year, tear things up here at NIU and think his talent is being wasted.

Back spasms that last a week after 20 minutes of practicing???? This looks real bad for Williams, and another terrible pick by Angelo. A previous post mentioned Bazuin, I believe he was actually a 2nd rd pick. Yeeesh.

It is kind of humorous how your dislike for Grossman taints your ability to see who had "the better day". If Grossman made a lot of nice passes (which he did), but threw two pics, and Kyle was simply "consistent", then you would be commenting on how terrible of a day it was for Grossman because of his "mistakes" and how fabulous a day it was for Kyle who was "consistent". I saw all their throws and Rex had a better day. Consistency is what we are looking for here.

Rex Grossman Is In the Same Phase Of His Career As Drew Brees Was In the Last Year Of His Contract With San Diego, when Drew Had His One Great Year With The Chargers,Before being signed by The Saints,I Expect Tyrannasaurus REX To Have An Explosive and Consistent Year,The bears Are More Exciting With Rex Behind The Helm,He Has A Cannon Arm,and is A PlayMaker,And He Needs Support From The Fans NO MATTER What,I Like Kyle Orton But Rex And His Big Plays Got The Bears To The Super Bowl, they Just Were Over Matched By A better And More Experianced Team In INDIANAPOLIS,I Think If Rex Starts He Will Pass For 3800 yards,28 TDs,8ints,thats my Personel prediction START T- REX ,LOVIE Please,He IS AWESOME !!!!!
