Peterson is not a good GM. Asking a 2nd and a 6th was a good idea, but a smart GM would have taken what Miami offered. Now, the chiefs ain't gonna get anything, and Trent Green will still be a QB for miami.

There is no reason for the Chiefs to give up on Green until the VERY last moment unless Miami gives them something in return

I understand that. Its in their best interests not to. But Miami can wait. Peterson was better off getting something for green. Now all miami has to do is wait, and the chiefs will be forced to eventually release him.

If Mr. Peterson is wrong about keeping Trent Green when in June can the Dolphins sign him ?

KC General Manager must think Dolphins GM Randy Mueller is a quack like he is if he thought Dolphins would have given kC a 2nd round selection, we know sometime in June Dolphins can sign Trent Green as a Free Agent like they did with Brian Griese 4 years ago.
Trent get a place in Miami before you have to report to camp and get that little girl of yours settled in a new home and city, where Daddy does have a starting job with a team that needs him. What do you except Peterson to do hold a gun to Green's head ?

Tom I totally agree with you, since Trent Green's football gear has already arrived in Miami where it should be anyway.

Let KC keep him. He's too old and banged up to demand that much salary.

The dolphins will be able to sign trent green once the chiefs release him. They have no choice. Trent Green has said he will not play for them. He has already negotiated a contract with Miami. The chiefs cannot afford to keep a 3rd string QB making $7.5 million a year.
