I don't understand why a team would hold on to a player who wants out. The cheif owners must be smoking crack. Why sould the Fins give them a second and a seventh round pick. A 4th is even too much for a 37 year old QB. All Trent Green would be is a caretaker until Beck get his feet wet. This fiasco proves that drugs are bad for business unless you are a dealer.

That seems to be one of the problems here in Miami: players come here to retire.

Carl Peterson is delusional. He keeps making an a$$ out of himself on a daily basis. Nothing for Green. KC can keep him if he's that important to them. Beck will be ready earlier than most people think.

My has C-Peps stock dropped...No mention or consideration at all of him starting. It is possible that him being healthy may be the reason the Fish are not dropping picks for Green...(Who will be out of football with the next and first hit)

First, what's this "here in Miami" crap coming from somebody from Kentuck-hillybilly-ville.

Second, Nick Shaven - where have YOU been? Fins have not and will not be giving a fourth round pick to KC for Green.

It is starting to look like the biggest fool in all of this is Peterson. He could have gotten a 6th rounder for Green - now it looks like we are getting Green without having to give up ANYTHING. If not, we'll make due with Fumblepepper the first half of the season, while Beck gets his feet wet. Beck is the real deal, and was the steal of the draft.

This is a win-win for the Dolphins. They will get Trent Green, probably in June after he gets cut, and won't have to give up any draft picks for him. Green will be in a system he knows, with coaches he's worked with before, so he'll pick it up in no time, and will have a full training camp and preseason to get ready. I think he'll be sufficiently recovered from the concussion, too. This all allows time for development of John Beck.

Now, the question is, will the Dolphins be able to fix the O-line enough so that Green doesn't end up with ANOTHER concussion in Sept.? Hmmm ...

Yes you ARE a NUMBNUTZ.

Say goodbye to fumblepepper who would have had a lot of trouble learning and executing Cams offense. Maybe he'll get to play in St Louis 4 Scott Linehan who's offense he knows and his skill set(what remains of it anyway) is better suited to. Good Luck Dante

Carl Peterson is all bluff and bluster. No way will KC be able to eat that 7 million. Not a chance in hell. Between Green and our FO Peterson is ess up over a barrell. And vulnerable.

I think our O Line will be significantly improved. Fumblepeppers sacks proved to be self caused. Teams knew he was a cripple and dogged him. As soon as Harrington started QBing the O line instantly got better? I think NOT! It was Dante.

Culpepper's jersey sales have also hit rock bottom clearance levels at Walmart $3.00, regularly it goes for 38 dollars. They can't give them away.

Smartest post of the weekend. I tried to make this point too but right now our fellow fans have tunnel vision. Not to mention it may have factored in not drafting Quinn too.

If we can get half a season out of Green, Beck will be ready. When Miami picked Beck one of the ESPN commentators blurted out, Beck will be starting sooner than people think. The guy is smart, and has what it takes to be successful in the NFL.

This is why you hired Mueller. Because he is smart. He knew KC wasn't going to keep Green. And everyone knew he wanted to come to Miami. It is nice to see that we have some smarts in the front office now. Now it won't cost us any picks.
