No, not a fantasy football guy. Just a fan trying to figure it out. My point was that a lot of people seem quite sure that Green knows Cameron's system and I'm questioning whether that's really the case. Your statement seems to imply that the attraction has more to do with loyalty than system knowledge. Doesn't that support my point?
Anyway, I hear what you're saying about getting Green after the final cut. And I agree, that doesn't really benefit anybody, least of all the Dolphins. But here's a question that I will ask you directly:
Do they keep Daunte until after they have signed Green? On one hand it seems prudent, on the other hand, it seems that the Dolphins would lose all leverage in dealing Daunte. Does Daunte have trade value? They can't keep both, can they?
I would say absolutely YES, they'll keep him until Green's in the fold. They can actually start camp with DC still on the roster ... say for the first week/10 days. They have to get him up and running to bring value to the picture. This weekend may be a critical time if DC can move around freely. Daunte has value to someone for sure, but only if he's truly healthy. It's highly unlikely they'd entertain the thought of keeping DC & TG, based on salary cap #s.
I missed your point on losing leverage once TG is traded & signed ? The leverage is the same. He's (Culpepper) a proven NFL starting QB of the upper echelon, and if healthy, most assuredly has value, as does Plummer, as does Wilkinson ... to the right team !!

Thank's for the feedback.

My point, regarding leverage, was that Miami really can't afford to have both Green & DC (I think). If they sign Green, it's an indication to every other team that Miami will be forced to move Daunte, one way or the other.

Since you've spent "most of your life" as a fins fan shouldn't you have anything better to offer than just vulgarities and insults?
Yeah there so much more going on in Dolphins camp then Jets camp....let's see.....oh yeah...Green has still not been traded....Did I mention anything about Green? Hey how about that Trent Green possible trade! When is Trent gonna be traded to the 'fins?
As far as moving to New Jersey...I live in Florida because I love the weather, my home, my business is great, and my family is close by. If you want to be a morin and live where your football team plays, go ahead. I do find entertainment in the misery of others...they are called Dolfans. Lastly this IS NOT a Dolphins Blog, this is an article in my hometown paper on-line edition. I don't go onto Dolphin forums or blogs, but I do read the Sun-sentinel on-line. Maybe YOU don't belong here. Where are you from anyway? AOL? I've also noticed that you're on this forum more than I am...Talk about too much time on your hands.
Ohhhh wait!!!! Green hasn't signed yet...but he's close...false alarm. This just in....Don Shula is still retired...news at 11.

Greg, you have got to be the poster boy for the New Jersey Jets in S. Florida. I mean you typify everything we hate about your team.

Oh, what's a morin?

After 5 minutes of reading this junk, I think I'll just retire. I really don't want to play for K.C., Miami, The Jets, or any other team where the fans are as screwy as the ones posting on this site.
