Whe don't care about Green,ok? I would ingnore all offers for Green and wait till they cut him. The Dolphins have possibly wasted 2 second round and a 4th for quarterbacks. There's no reason to not just stay pat.If Culpepper recovers we'll have what we should have last year.

More of the same garbage. Still trying to make a story out of a non-story. NO draft pick for Green. We don't need him. Start Beck.

The team needs a veteran QB. If Culpepper can't go or can't master the new system, we've got no experienced guy to start and mentor or back up whoever starts.

It seems more than obvious that Cameron and Mueller want Green and Green wants to be here. I can't understand how the first two commenters don't get this. Cameron and Mueller don't give a phish phart what jon and NUT BUSTER think.

Yes, it's frustrating that we can't seem to get this done right away. KC can hold Green right up until they cut to 53 the week before the regular season starts. That is their leverage. The chance they take is that if Green gets hurt during training camp, they eat his 7.2 million salary this year. Right now, that's the leverage we have.

There is still time before Green NEEDS to be here; training camp is still some time away. As to 'wasting' a pick - that won't be known one way or another until the cards are all played. So, relax, and watch it unfold. Even if we cave and have to give a 4th, it may be a great trade. It won't be 'mortgaging the future;' it'll be a trade for cripes sake! It's done all the time.

It's sad from these football dol-drums that this is the only topic we can talk about, I'm about done with this non-story, it keeps dragging like the energizer bunny...it keeps goin' and goin' and goin and so on. I foremost want Green here but for absolutely nothing! But this stance between the Phins' & Chiefs are getting boring...Go Phins!

Cam, Mueller...give nothing for Green. If you cave in you'll be know as "Wanny and Rick" and you'll never be able to make a decent trade again. KC will cut Green. forget what Peterson says or Green's agent. They both know the fins hold all the cards. Peterson thinks you guys are wimps. If they don't get Green you have Dumbpepper to tide you over until Beck is ready.

They should just ignore KC altogether. If they didn't contact them or talk to them for a couple of weeks and made KC think the 'fins have changed there minds, just see how fast KC would take that 6th round pick! It's all in "perceived" leverage. No other team want's Trent at all. Hang up the phone and focus on what's here now.......a week before the season starts is too late to establish rhythm with the receivers anyway.

In the past, I've supported Cameron/Muellers decision to go after Green. I just don't have any faith in Culpepper...his health or reads on the D.

That said, I'm really tired of that prick Peterson jerking us around.

Cameron/Mueller, withdraw the offer now! At least we'll have some pride left and maybe it will get Petersons attention.

I'm a proponent of acquiring Green but not at any cost. It looks like KC will hang on to Trent until they name their 53 man roster - until then they owe Trent nothing unless he is injured during pre-season.
CaMueller have to stand strong even if it means no Trent. If they give in they perpetuate the view around the league the Dolphins are weak negotiators. If we stand our ground it will help our negotiating position for years to come.
Cleo will be at least an adequate starter at the beginning of the season and who knows maybe he becomes the man. DC gets time to get healthy and who knows maybe he works out. Let's just give CaMueller time to sort this thing out.

Carl Peterson and Herman Edwards have to be two of the most SELFISH people. Let Trent Green go. You stated you wanted to get younger and just about pushed him out about 2 months ago. Peterson you have to be a real JERK and Herman Edwards what a low life idiot. GROW UP GUYS.

I agree, just move on until the Chiefs come'a knockin. Let Green do the labor in getting released or trade. A move by the Chiefs concerning Green is inevitable.

Why would the Dolphins give anything for Green? He is not the future of the Dolphins! It would be nice to have him but not for any draft pick! Let K C pay him if thats what they want to do. Go with what we have and start grooming Beck, he is the future!

The Green talk is bs. I can't believe how dumb people on this post are.
One guy said culpepper can't read defenses. I wonder how he got to be one of the top quarterbacks in the nfc playing for Minnesota and scored around 40 TD's. Like i said in previous post, the best quarterback is Culpepper, not Green. I don't like Green ,he sucked everytime Kansas City went to the playoffs with as much talent on offense as anybody could want. They're not ruling Culpepper out and if listen carefully to Carmron's statements, even if Green comes in he's not guaranteed to start. Also some of you guru's who think Green is the choice because he knows the system bla, bla, bla he automatically gets the job. Meanwhile Culpepper "is here"ok and he is learning the system and nobody on this post knows how well, because Cameron's not going to tell you.
What's happening in case some of you dumb asses haven't figured it out yet.
Is cameron wants two veteran quarterbacks competing for the job.
If Culpepper regains his mobility and understands the offense,he wins hands down, because Green can't move in the pockect. Leadership skills and accuracy don't mean squat when a defense can key on a guy who's 37 years old and can't move. It's the same crap we've been seeing the last few years.Lot's of interceptions and sacks. Green might have had a chance if Ricky came back, and ronnie brown isn't the threat that Ricky is.
You people will see this in the preseason,i'm tired of stating my case. Green would be a great mentor for Beck, but not a starting quarterback.

why give a pick for green? i have nothing against green but i don't want the fins to waste any picks on a player that is very likely to be released.

haven't they learned anything? giving away picks is one of the reasons we are where we are.

Some people are dumb and some don't know what they're talking about. The Chiefs went to the playoffs once with Green at the helm. They had a 13-3 record and a first round bye. They lost that 2003 divisional playoff to Peyton Manning and the Colts 38-31. You can't blame it on Green, the offense never had to punt! Green went to the Pro Bowl that year.

CaMue would like to have Green for the obvious reasons that have been stated ad nauseum, and some people still don't get it. They need veteran leadership and Culpepper may not recover enough to play well, regardless of who thinks he's 100%. Look everything in this business is a risk. There are no guarantees; you do the best with what you've got. If you can help the team by adding Green even for a year or two, you go for it.

Those who think CaMue are getting the shaft in negotiations don't realize that Peterson started asking for a 2nd and has already been negotiated down to a 4th being acceptable to him - AND we're still talking (sort of.) I wouldn't mind seeing Green for a 4th. It would certainly be better than the year we got from Culpepper for a 2nd. I'm not saying Pep can't be the guy, I'm saying if we can get Green into the mix, it's a plus for the team.

I am so sick of this crap as time passes we are getting closer to the season and the longer we waste time on trying to put this deal together the farther behind we fall!Let us not hesitate any longer with this pull the deals off the table and lets stop letting this control how we look at this season! We have QBs on the roster and I believe that we will be just fine!Lets let the personel that we have work and work hard to open this season and hopefully get this team and franchise turned around!I dont know about you all but I am looking forward to watching these new FINS grow and get better!Enough is enough!HELL YEAH!!!No picks if you can pick him up for next to nothing hes a good deal if not let it ride and move on!GO FINS
