I don't like to see Caoch Carrol leave USC under any hint of NCAA violations. I think he has bee great for the college game this last decade and will be missed at USC in more ways than one. It proves that big time football is at first a business consideration, so if Carrol is both fullfilling a career ofjective and making more money than so be it and good for him. USC will be just fine. They will reload with more great players and probably a new marqee name for their new head coach... someone like a Jon Grubin perhaps.

Mike Riley, Jack Del Rio, Jeff Fisher, and maybe Chris Peterson from Boise State are just a few names for the USC sidelines.

I hope all the USC recruits bail and this marks the beginning of a long drought for USC. I'm hoping for prominence for Oregon, Arizona, and Washington in the PAC-10 in the next decade.

Notr dame surely thought they would reload and move forward too. Other big schools have lost their way during coaching changes. It could easily happen at Florida or USC. Here's hoping.

Pete will be back coaching a college team again. He won't succeed in the NFL just like the last time. When USC asked the NCAA if they can impose sanctions on their football program and the NCAA said no, that was not a good sign. I would leave too if I were the head coach.

Hopefully Seantrell Henderson will now decide to sign with OSU next month. I know he had OSU and USC at the top of his list. Look out for Stanford also unless Harbaugh wants to apply for the USC job.

USC is on the way down anyways. Probably NCAA violations coming down the pike.

Spurrier, oops, I mean "Carroll" will fail in the NFL again. However, why not take the cash and run with it while he's able too?

IF you are a USC commitment, please come to Ohio State instead. Tressel will take good care of you.

Good riddance, Pete the Cheat. Take your corrupt ways to the next level while the NCAA finally gets around to investigating the fraud at SUC. Can't wait for the Reggie Bush investigation. UCLA will be dominating the PAC 10 again before long.

Run Petey...before the NCAA catches up with you...at least you are supposed to pay players in the NFL, you can make it public knowledge without having to hide it.

So Captain Pete isn't going down with the ship. Too bad the University of Stupid Cheaters got two wins over tOSU while they were breaking rules left and right.

Is the writing on the wall that the NCAA is finally going to come down on the corrupt USC system? For Pete's sake- say it isn't so!!
First, it was the basketball program and now the drum beat is becoming louder for the football program. Long overdue. Just ask my wife and me about our sweet house and Reggie about his sweet marketing deal "allowance." What? there was no "signed" agreement...

Has anyone seen JT? I heard he was tired of whiny OSU fans and will be taking the weather and pay upgrades that come with coaching the men of Troy.

Wouldn't that be funny if Tressel applied for the USC job? I always wondered if fans out there wanted Carrol fired after losing games to teams like oregon, oregon state, stanford, washington, UCLA over the last few years. With the 4 and 5 star recruits that they have been getting, I am surprised that they are not in the BCS title games each of the last five years.

Give Carroll and Calipari their own university, then give it the "death penalty". It's what they both deserve.

I am wondering if this is the begining of the fall of USC, You can't help but think the violtaions may soon be forthcoming for Reggie's Bush' issues.

The writing is on the wall. Pete can read and realizes that with star running backs going pro early, a sophomore QB coming back after a so-so season, a struggling defense, a Pac-10 that is gaining ground on USC, and upcoming sanctions from the NCAA, the smart move is to take the money and run. Problem for him is that you can`t "sit" the NFL stars to punish them, you have to balance your need for control with an owner who wants to "win now" and players who are grown men and will voice their concerns privately, in the locker room and with the media. Pistol Pete is packin` his bags and heading to the bank!
