So the obvious question now is whether Pete Carroll takes Matt Barkley with him to Seattle. Read more

belligerent 18-year-old, like a lovestruck 14-year-old, Carroll pouts like a 7-year-old who just lost his favorite stuffed animal.

Bob you will never do anything close to what Pete Carroll has done for L.A. Your a cheap shot artist. You're a classless bitter jealous old fool.

this is sad, whatever happened to seeing things thru??? First, Mora, the only class act in the whole thing, gets dumped. Then, Carroll leaves instead of seeing thru a 2-3 year immenent struggle - but then a $2 million raise makes that mute and $5 mil chump change I guess. Plus, Seattle 'interviews' if that's what you call it, a minority as a formality. Prediction - in three years, Seattle is still going to stink and hopefully USC finds a class act who endures the Garrett/Carrol/Bush fiasco which leaves everyone saying 'Pete, who??' How can any of these college coaches look recruits in the eye? Would love to see USC hire Pat Hill.

You whine about PC not seeing things through and leaving recruits behind. A few sentences later you advocate Pat Hill doing the same thing. Which way do you want it?

Hey Bob, is it possible for you to write an article before putting your cheap shot last name in the front of it? As if we read the article just because it says KEISSER.

Also, damn you Pete!

Bummer Pete is leaving, but he did great things here. I say best of luck to you Pete, and go give Seattle the same great effort you gave Los Angeles. Nothing last forever folks.

Good article, Bob. You hit the nail squarley on the head. Sometimes the truth needs to be told even though the truth isn't embraced by all.

I have always understood that if you do a good job other opportunities come your way. I don't want Pete to leave, but it sounds like a great deal for him and something he has wanted to do. Why does everyone have to be so hateful?
