Wire Released by Bills

That was the toughest part; not knowing that it would happen. But I understand their reasoning for it; being uncertain as whether I would be able to continue to play at a high level. But the good thing is [now] that it's in my hands and not theirs. Special teams star Coy Wire was "surprised" when he was told he was being released by the Buffalo Bills. via WHP-TV Harrisburg

Buffalo has made a serious mistake by letting Wire go. Coy has many fans and my son and I lead the pack on his fan list. We live in Wisconsin and think Coy is an outstanding asset to the Buffalo Bills organization. If Buffalo does not take Coy back, we can only hope he finds his way through Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Coy Wire is by far the best. Go Bills, Go wire.

Surely you are joking...Wire somehow eked out two more years as an NFL player than most thought..He was simply terrible against the pass and nearly as horrible against the run - usually jumping on the pile as the RB's carried the undersized LB's...Mitchell is what a LB should look like AND play like...Wire was useless except for special teams...
