The season is long. Too long to not lighten the mood now and then. I don't care if he smiles, but I hope he keeps the locker room loose. At the same time, not settle for anything less than 100% effort.

Not saying Sparano is but I DO NOT want another coach with an anti-social (Saban) personality. He made the mood of everyone in the building sour.

Questions about his philosophy? Really? Don't you think it will be the same as Parcell's? Of course it is. Why even ask.

I'm just glad that Tony survived that final episode. If you remember right before Meadow walked in the door of the ice cream shop Tony had a wistful look on his face and was probably dreaming of being reunited with Bill, another Jersey guy. I hope someone asks him how Sil is doing after the shooting in the Bing parking lot.

Wasn't aware of Tony's coaching experience, but you would think he won't be lacking in the toughness area. He may have to soften some of his tactics as they pertain to under performing players.

All in all a great hire, but I don't want to see carmela or his sister in Wayne's suite.

You think he will bring the Stugatts??

the players played hard for Saban. They did respect him even if he was harsh.

Thanks Ethan for a great inside look into how Sparano's current players feel about him. Most of the Fins news items these days are just recycled versions of stuff that was out a week ago.

I'm not worried about his personality, that guy in New England doesn't even have one and it hasn't stopped him. Players will follow a coach they respect; that's all you can ask.

Good stuff Ethan.

You know ol what's his name - Belichick in 'New England' doesn't smile much. More now than in years past...but he's known as 'Mr. Poker Face'.

If he's the new HC (chuckle), I expect Sparano's program to follow the Parcells/Belichick model: Very demanding, very time-consuming, very energy-consuming. If a player has a lot of distractions in his personal life that manifest in their professional life, he is going to have difficulty succeeding in Bill's...er, Tony's program.

(if Tony gets the job) He'll need to lighten up if he wants to stick around for more than a year or two. Us hardcore fans may appreciate a hardass, but the team needs a HC with charisma if it expects to sell tickets.

I'm sorry but things like the Wannstache, drafting the Ted Ginn family and Fail, Forward Fast NEVER get old!!!

It just sucks that we couldn't have kept Cam on the staff and hired him just to provide comic relief!!!!
