Buckhalter's gone

Full story: The Morning Call

Eagles fans might not have to wonder much longer about what it was like for Green Bay fans to see TV footage of long-time Packers quarterback Brett Favre in a different team's uniform during the 2008 season.

Again the Eagles have F**KED up, I guess they expect Westbrook to do it all, why doesnt Laurie look at their overweight pudgy coach, look at him as he walked along the sidelines, actually his range of walking is down to 2 feet either side of him, cant manage a clock, maybe if someone taught him to read a clock, Uses an ancient old man to run the team on the field cause his ancient old secrets are no longer secrets, they look like 2 piano keys next to each other but so far out of tune its pathetic, Were the he!! is Obama , Barry instead of watching basketball, call the Eagles front office and give some change for the EAGLES (bird mind you) is our national bird, picture of strength wing spans,(Bring back Carmichael) and can fly like can eagle talking about VanBrocklin, and not have a bird that regurgeates (pukes) everytime the going gets tough, Lets give away our best and consider the rest as we sit and shake our heads in wonderment. Please Barry Hussien Obama, speak to Mr.Laurie and suggest change in the coaching 10 years and still no trophy as promised by the ancient old secrets..

Yea moron he was the guy that score the winning TD against the Steelers. He did a solid job backing up Westbrook. His problem was staying healthy

Comeon, you don't honestly believe they are going to start the season without getting someone to replace Buck. The rest of you rambling isn't even worth responding to. Did you hit your head? Ancient secrets? Bring Carmichael back? Carmichael is on the team as a coach. Get a clue buddy.

Are you still not leting us know what town you live in? You sound like a proud citizen. Is that why you attack Philly to make yourself feel better? Its getting old. Aren't you smart enough to come up with some new material?

Exactly! Better talent out there that can play and make it through a season more reliably. Like Clinton Portis.

Hmmmmm......I guess you're right. I'm getting tired of it myself. I did tell you where I'm from basically. I live in Whitehall Township. That of course is comprised of several small towns. Again, I am not claiming that this is nirvana at all. Although, at one time it was a very beautiful, suburban community. There was quite a lot of farm land around as well. Unfortunately, the MacArthur Rd. retail corridor attracted many lousy citizenry. Crime has escalated tremendously. Many slumlords have turned once respectable complexes into HUD abuse pits. The I-78 and Rt 33 corridors provided a path for too many freeloading, drug abusing, HUD abusing, welfare abusing dirtbags. The township and school district services are stressed to the breaking point.

So, I guess that is the source of my "PHilthy" commentary. I do not want things to get so bad that we are another Philthadelphia. It has already gotten bad enough.

Don't you know that most of the problems that your referring to were cause by New Yorkers. Last I check I-78 doesn't come through Philly. Check the crime blotter in the Morning Call. There are alot more NY/NJ addresses on people arrested than Philly. You just admitted that Whitehall isn't what it used to be. Well, guess what it isn't coming back anytime soon. At least Philly will always have Fox Chase, Manyunck, and Chesnut Hill along with some of the best universities and historical sites in the country. What does Whitehall have?

The old communities north of the mall and retail strip are still very nice neighborhood areas. Very suburban in nature. I realize there are incredible universities in the Philadelphia area. But, they are very large universities. We have some fantastic small colleges like Lehigh, Lafayette, Moravian, Muhlenberg. I like it that way. Large universities are for urban centers. I don't want the Lehigh Valley to become part of some east coast megalopolis. You are also correct regarding the NY/NJ comment. I understand that urban centers have lots of museums, universities, theater, zoos, politics, etc. I like them just where they are along with the riff raff that is drawn to urban centers. Now if only we could clean house here by clamping down big time on slum lords, HUD abusers, drug scum, criminals we could once again have a suburban lifestyle.

Keep dreaming. Allentown is going in one direction and it certainly isn't up. Just watch that slot casino will further increase crime.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
