They showed a lot more heart than *ahem* some other local teams. Good job, cats, nothing to be ashamed of.

It was a good game. NU gave them a better game than Illinois did!

We need another camera shot of Daniel's parents.

Great showing by the Cats. 14 pt underdogs and we took them to OT.

The end result should not spoil the body of work.

a loss is a loss.northwestern simply blew it.when that guy fumbled in the 1st quarter which got over turned by offsides.nobody was in front of him.if he ran straight you are looking if they could make their extra points 14-0.northwestern once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.notre dame should have played missouri and hawaii vs northwestern

My thought exactly by the fourth quarter it was sickening. I wonder if he was black and had a 300 pound single mother out there with kids hanging off her arms and beads in her hair if the cameras would have been that fixated on her. Probably not.

Why does NU have such trouble attracting consistent kickers/punters? We haven't had a truly consistent kicker since Sam Valensizi..... I think Amado V and Stefan Demos should have to try out for their jobs again next year - maybe then they'll focus better or work a little harder or whatever it is they need to be doing in the off-season?

Northwestern gave Mizzou this game.

Why on earth did they punt the ball to Maclin?

They should have gone into halftime leading 13-3 or 17-3, but they didn't get it done.

I am a fan of the Big Ten but didn't really care of NW or MO won - just wanted a good game.

But after ESPN kept showing the MO QB Chase Daniel's family every 30 seconds I kept rooting for NW and now officially hate Chase Daniel and was rooting for NW.

Why did ESPN need to show his family in what seemed like between every MO offensive play is asinine.

Remember that late NW cheer: "It's alright, it's OK, you will work for us one day!"

The punter, Demos, just muffed up his kick.

A shame that the kicking game all-around cost the 'Cats.

What a game! A roller coaster ride of highs and lows and I wouldn't expect anything less. I cried a little when it was over.
You've got to feel for the senior guys -- most of whom aren't going to the next level -- so this was their last game together.
