Bryant Johnson will help us tremendously.
#1 WR should be the #1 team target this off season.

That would be nice to have a Baltimore born guy on the team ...

WR Mason only cares about how many catches he gets, he could care less on winning, whined 2 years ago when he didn't get the ball and we were 13-3, last year he was happy as could be on his little TV show while only winning 5 games ...
WR Clayton ??? What happened ?????

Jeremiah is correct we need a WR desparately. Mason may be old but is great in the slot. Clayton needs to step up his game in every way. D Williams when healthy.

I think it was obvious McNair favored Mason early in the year many times throwing 3 yard (or less) passes to him. I think Clayton just felt left out of the offense after a while. Hopefully we will have a new offensive mindset this year where we look for the big play first and then dump off to the short reciever if its not there. I think Mason's a talented reciever but I cant stand a whiner.

When you look at the Browns latest FA sgnings, None really stand out
Corey Williams is an OK DL
Shaun Rodgers is lazy and troublesome
Donte Stallworth has only avg 45 catches/year
Derek Anderson was worse in the 2nd half of the season

all in all they basically spent a whole lot of money for avg signings and they have no draft picks in 1st 3 rounds....

As a Ravens fan
I love this, it all looks good on paper but the reality is they didnt get better

The Ravens are arrogant to think that they win with a team that 5-11 last year and 6-10 2 years ago. 13-3 was fluke. Doesn't Ozzie see that they need to get some free agents. He is being very arrogant in thjinking that Billick was the only problem. Yes, Billick was big problem, but this team has many holes and not all of them can be fixed in the draft. Sometimes you have to go out and sign the big free agent. I thought the arrpogance would leave with Billick, but it turns out the ASrrogance goes higher then Billick. The Ravens are looking at fight for last place in the division with the Bengals. Browns are getting good.

I am glad you think you got a whole lot better with:
an avg WR and 2 so-so older DL and a QB who hasnt proven he can take your team to the playoffs(Note: he choked bigtime when he had to win)
and a QB who will sit the bench for 1 or 2 more years
for those players you gave up
a 2007 2nd round pick,
a 2008 1st round pick
a 2008 2nd round pick
a 2008 3rd round pick
and Leigh Bodden

Thas a George Allen 'the future is now attitude"
Im just thinking (and hoping) this ting could blow up big time
then the whiner Browns fans will begin their complaints again

We will see who is a fluke and who is the cellar dwellars of the divivion. The Ravens went 24-24 in the last 3 years and have been to the playoffs as the 2 seed.

How bout them Clowns? Lucy yanked the football away at the last second one more time eh Charlie?

I like the moves for the most part. Stallworth was a bit of a suprise since he will likely take snaps away from Cribbs, who is better.

I don't know about that secondary though. Little suspect back there.

Should be good enough to keep you in contention until the last week, when they go for the annual Okey doke and the rug is yanked out again.

Plus the Browns dont have 5th rou round selection, they traded that pick last year for hank Fraley...
so lets recap their 2008 draft
(1) 4th round selection
(2) 6th round selections (gained 1 from Seattle for Charlie Frye)
(1) 7th round selection

in my opinion, Phil Savage has rolled the dice big time
If only 1 or none of thr 29 year old DL doesnt work out, then he has basically shot his wad for a chance at the SuperBowl, and realistically, they arent even going to make the playoffs, this year, they have a much tougher schedule, and DA isnt the next Tom Brady

so my advice to the Fans of the ugliest uniforms in the NFL.
sit tight and look forward to the 2009 draft

Looks like a Redskins draft this year. Hey, URBlowMe, he wrote 'shoot his wad.' ;-)
