takes more than the trust of the media, forget them, it takes winning game 1 ...Dallas, you can either start in the bottom of the hole or be the team holding the shovel.

Just curious, Steel Drapery, what article were you reading?

I read an article where a solid head coach prepared his team for a championship run with sounds advice about the season ahead.

Are you just trying to get a shot in before the Brownie whoop up on your Squeelers on our way to a superbowl?

Part of me is bitter to the NFL, they only put us on once in the last 13 years, screw 'em, don't put us on now.

In a wierd way, I'm with you. They're amking up for it this year, which adds more pressure.

I'm not worried, as I think we need the pressure to help us mature.

But it is funny how the league cares more about money than it does parity. But they flip it the other way.

It's real exciting to see if the Browns are the goods, or did they have a fluke season. If they keep the injury's down, anythings possible.

It wasn't just the excluding us all those seasons, it was they way they force fed us 3 games a season by the likes of the Panthers, 49ers, and Bucs.

I hope they do a little better than last year!! Why, you ask?? A friendly at work pool called "Suicide King of The Hill". One loss and you're out. I had SUCH high hopes for the Browns that I had them as my first pick Week 1. They lost, won the next two...etc. There went my 25 buy-in "points". D'oH!!

outside of their home city no one wants to see loser teams on national prime time. do you? did you want to watch last years dolphins or raiders? of course it is about money ..to the nfl and the network. it is free tv, remember? advertisers pay the cost

The Browns should be a pretty good team, but all this talk about Super Bowl is way premature. They beat one team with a winning record, that was at home. They still have a lot to prove.

The Browns on National TV. They are just trying to make the Browns lose so the Steelers can win the division and earn the NFL more TV revenue from more Steeler fans in the USA. Cleveland is up there but the younger fans know of no Browns tradition. The Steelers had a dynasty in the '70's. The Browns' dynasty was in the '50's. Those people who followed them are now dead - like my father. He just talked about Graham's toughness and accuracy on the deep throw and sideline routes. I can see that from Earl Mann's video made in 1996 - celebrating the Browns return as an expansion franchise. That is when the Browns lost a lot of their luster as a franchise. I miss old Cleveland Stadium. I saw about 70 games there. I saw one in the new place and have no desire to go back unless some woman asks me to take her there. Even my ex-wife, of 23 years seemed impressed with that old barn on the lake made of yellow brick from 1931. She was a Steeler fan. That is probably why my marriage failed. I proposed to her after she wore a Browns Tee shirt onetime after she proposed to me, first in February, 1983. I proposed in March, 1983.

Wow... anyway, I do think all the hype and big talk is premature. We still have to get through training camp without a major player getting injured or missing due to a holdout. The day that happens, I'll start making predictions...
