I'm a long time Giant fan but have never felt the way I do right now. Why does Coughlin still have a job???????

It's embarrassing because even when we has bad teams in the past Big Blues defense was always good.

It's hard to believe that 4 or 5 games into the sease our season may be over.

I think it's going to be a "Who Cares" attitude for NY football this year.

Your defenseive line is great especially the ends but the LB are in need .THe OFfence is getting pretty good so the Giants are not as far as you think away from something very good.

Whose season will end faster,
the Mets or Tom Coughlin?

Yup. The Packers didn't so much win the game, as the Giants lost it. This is glaringly obvious to anyone who watched more than the first quarter.

Defense is horrible, 4-12? They wont change coach during season and it's not all on Coughlin, The LB'S and Secondary just suck, and front is getting no pass rush. This is just as much if not more on Reese. Mets also Disgusting sports day.

I concur with PF5. The problem with the Giants as that they have 'me first' guys like their TE, who is more concerned with cameras than catching footballs.

The Packers have it going on...defense will keep them in games until the offense catches hold. The formula was good again for the sixth straight time.

The reason for the runaway scoring of the Packers?
Too many one-shot-hot shots on the Giants side. Not the coaches fault, just too many young ones who don't know how to play as a team.

The Packers have the youngest team in the NFL, now what is your excuse? None, you just got beat by a better team.

Clearly the Pack won this game. They dominated with another great showing by their defense, an improved offense, and an opportunistic special teams. Over the past 6 regular season games the defense has given up on average just 11 points a game.

Sorry dude, but I'm a die-hard Packer fan - it's a requirement to becoming a citizen in Wisconsin. It was a good game - they're all good games. I was a Giants fan the first 25 years of my life - I've been a Packers fan for the last 35. I would hardly call Bret Favre a young player. don't be so judgmental.

I said earlier this week that I would be suprised if the Giants win 4 games this year. Maybe, that was too optomistic. The defense is the worst in Giant history.
What a mess. Next year new coach and new players.
The defensive backs are terrible. Webster cannot cover and cannot tackle. Madison and McQuarters cannot cover anybody. Strahan is invisible because he is too old to help.
Schockey is a show-off who never learned that his antics
have resulted in opponents trying to hurt him and succeeding. He has taken so many unnecessary hits (many driven by distain for his antics) that he has lost the speed he had and seems to have multiple physical problems.
The Giants are an undisplined team that needs that is short on talent. As I said "what a mess".

I think Coughlin must go. The team makes stupid penalties, they can't tackle, and judging by all the injuries, they seem to be poorly conditioned.

Giants should have dumped Coughlin after last season.. Tiki left becuse of him, the team is always injured becuse he overtrains, his gameplans are always weak and the team is unprepared.

COUGHLIN MUST GO NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Full of crap is right...GB(Favre) took hold of the Giants' cajones in the second half and cruised to victory with the help of a stout D.
The Pack is on their way up...
The Giants were deflated, and it showed. Coughlin should be fired, doesn't seem like much of a motivator for that team, which IMO, is a requisite for being a coach in the NFL.

i agree. Favre was huge in the 2nd half and the good stats were his abilty to pass it around mid 3rd or end i forget it was like 7 WR's 7TE's 8RB's he did pick apart the def. no matter the giants def. was and is not good. But what your off. consist of one player Buress and even he was frustrted taking late hits and uppercuts while being covered. So our def. stopped them. Our off took over with our dref. energy. no matter which way you look at it the giants def. sucks but the packer off. allaround equally did there jobs.we also took eli out and your 2nd string. i dont even know who your 3rd QB was.

I just love this article....especially the comment from Sam Madison...this coming from a guy burnt worst than toast??? Come on Giants fans....and Newsday writers...admit it...if the Giants had both Brett AND Eli on your team...who would rather see start...uh huh...thought so. The Packers are NOT great...maybe a 500 club at best....but the Giants REALLY blow. My god...your defense stinks and you have the two head cases in "plexiglass" and that tatoo freak at tight end. Good thing you have Washington and Dallas and Philadelphia to deal with...boy...THERE'S some good teams. Stop your whining.

Every year, Shockey has finally grown up, will finally put aside his relentless self-absorption, will keep his rookie-year promises.
Every year, Shockey keys a handful of defeats, failing to make plays, failing to play for anyone but himself. Today, Toomer joined him.
During the national telecast, and in the local recap, we heard time and again how this was a better Eli. Know what his qb rating was? The journeyman mid-70s, where he most often resides...
