Ah, yes. Have a bad year and throw the assistants under the bus. Politely and with great praise of course. After all nothing could be Mack Browns' fault, could it?

I could barley watch the Horns this year. It must have been so easy to scout this team. When you have a quarterback that "never" uses the pump fake your inviting failure in numerous ways. I hope the new coaches are alert enough to remind our QBs that this is an essential tool. That's my 2 cents worth but it probably adds up to a dollar in this years mistakes.

Go easy on Mac. I doubt he threw any of these guys under the bus. Being an Asst Coach is a great profession but its tough on the the coach and the family. Imagine pouring all your time(14-15 hr days) and investment into doing a great job, and the reality of it is your success rests in hands of 18 - 22 yr old kids who under the pressure to take care of themselves, keep the grades ups, rest, stay healthy, stay out of trouble and have to put up with the negative press and fans of a bad season. All the while you have kids of your own at home you never see.

These guys want UT to succeed and probably feel like now would be a good time for a change. There is a lot more to the situation than we will know.
