I have been saying that we need d-linemen for over a year now but everyone is stuck in CB's or OT's, RB's ect. Our D-line has no depth and if we don't have Jolly we are in real trouble.

Barnett is right. Players cannot help but notice when the team is being mismanaged. He is not the first to notice this in GB and he won't be the last. Ted Thompson needs to go.

Draft a guy and ask him to start and play 2-gap responsibility right away... Pretty tall order. Look at the Patriots and Steelers. Vince Wilfork and Casey Hampton/Chris Hoke are studs. None started full time their first years. Hampton has missed games every season. You need depth and we don't have it.

there is still the draft and many vets will be cut in July,Aug so im sure Ted will pick up depth,so GBP can stop whining the same ole shit over and over.

I think TT is doing a fine job I just wanted another DT from last year’s draft. We need a good 3-4 NT from this draft, but we also must to draft a solid five technique that can play significant minutes. If we do not draft at least three d-linemen we will be very weak at d-line. These guys are going to need to rotate a lot if they are expected to take on multiple blockers on a down to down basis. You need more LB's than before, but you must have quality depth at the d-line in order to be successful. Hawk, Pop., NB, Chillar, Bishop, Kampman, and Thompsom will need some stout, duable hogs up front to allow them to make plays. If we don't stop the run we are going to put too much wear and tear on the DB's and LB’s. It's not that I think we needed to land a big time free agent; I just want TT to grab a few solid 3-4 big boys up front.

It is childishly foolish and naive to believe that TT is going to accomplish in one draft what he has been unable to accomplish in the last four drafts.

Furthermore, do the math children. Even assuming that Ted signs players capable of contributing immediately with every pick (something he has never come close to accomplishing) there are not enough picks to fill the needs and create depth on defense alone. And the Packers need additional depth on offense also, even assuming everyone returns healthy on offense.

I think he can get at least one D-linemen that can start right away. Then add some solid depth with a 2nd or 3rd round selection and later pick up D-linemen cut from another team. Point is TT needs to Draft a few D-linemen and grab a solid cut player later. It may be improbable that TT can pull it off, but he needs to really focus on this position the way Ron Wolf did when he drafted three corners in row. Sure two of the sucked but we need some serious help on the D-line. I don't think anyone can make a solid case for another position with more need than D-line.

The Packers don't even have four starters penciled in at LB, to make no mention of having depth at the position. And if Woodson moves to safety, where is the depth at corner?

It's a mess. I admire everyone's confidence, but it's wishful thinking in my view. We are going backwards.
