What a tragedy. Our thoughts go out to his family. It's hard to make sense of things like this happening to good people.

No matter what you thought of Sean Taylor, only his close friends and family knew the real Sean. Get a life, get a grip and respect that a life...a son, a father, a friend was lost today. If anything he was "normal" and we have all made mistakes. Like I said...he was a human being who had loved ones and will be missed by many people. God Bless the Taylor family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I didn't know Sean Taylor on a personal level but I know that he was a great football player and a Redskin, so to me he is like family. God Bless.

My guess is that there is more to this story than a simple home invasion.

It does not sound like this was just some random act, here. A little fishy.

The man had an extensive criminal record including an assault with a gun.

No wonder he met a violent death.

The NFL & Redskins turned a blind eye to his criminal backround. Why should anyone be surprised that he is shot to death.

To Real Men of Genius and Rastis, it is because of people like you with racists remarks and narrowmindedness, things like this will still happen. If someone made remarks about a tragedy to either of the both of you, I don't think you would like it. It says here that innappropriate posts may be removed by the moderator. It's always sad when a young person dies, but it seems like there's more to this story.

"Sharpstein said Taylor's girlfriend told him the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection."

I mean, who keeps a machete in their bedroom for protection. I'm pretty sure he could've afforded an alarm system.

Miami is a 3rd world country, sucks that he lived there. As far as him "brandishing" a gun, someone stole my brand new bike and i wish i had a gun.

The man deserves respect.

You are an absolute idiot to say he had an "extensive" record.

hello...is the anyone out there moderating this board??? how could you allow a posting by someone who appears to be lower than an animal (Rastis)? as for Rastis himself, he is so far beneath monkeys on the evolutionary scale that maybe he thought he was complimenting Mr. Taylor...

I agree. The life this man had that we know publicly, only tells me that there was much more going on behind closed doors.

While tragic, there must be more to this story than meets the eye. You live a certain type of lifestyle, expect that to possibly come back at you. And it did for this guy.

Maybe you should go buy a crying towel, or perhaps not post here as there is no PC in the land of truth.
