Portis has the gist fo the situation right.

It is a LOCKER ROOM. A woman does not belong in a male locker room. If you go in, expect that you will be hearing and seeing things that might make you uncomfortable.

The players deserve some privacy. This is their locker room. The Press/Media deserve a statement for their coverage...wait for it in the "PRESS/MEDIA ROOM". The owners and NFL should set boundaries for the players: No one allowed in the locker room except players and team personnel. If the press need a statement from a particular coach/player, then arrange it...after they are cleaned-up, cooled-down, and fully dressed.

As long as it's fully equal rights on men being in any area that women are changing, it's okay! I think we need to have guys in the change areas of the cheerleaders to 'interview' them, as well as all those beautiful female athletes.

Only problem, I think the line up for those jobs might be long.
