He may or may not be back. The cap is going up every year, and teams can always find ways to keep their best players if they need to do it. Who do you think the Packers have to fill Jennings role? James Jones?
Im not sure the cap will raise as quick as it has in the past though.Economy is bad, revenue isnt raising as fast over the past few years for the NFL.
To answer your question Randall Cobb ( IMHO) will be the best WR GB has within the next year or 2.This kid will be a start for sure!( barring injury that ends a career of course).

I agree that there are all kinds of problems right now. No one thing is the answer or the fix. However, I do think one of the many ways in which the Packers can improve is to get Jennings back on the field.
Which is fine but he also hasnt had a full season in the last 3 years which also throws a wrench in the discussion of signing Jennings long term.I cant remember which WR was mentioned but he was making 11M per ( 5 yr 55 M i believe it was) and Jennings was aiming there ( and if there is a market for him there,he has every right to ask it or seek it,but,) IMO with him getting up at the 30 mark and most important his inability to stay healthy, has to be considered

You are preaching to the choir here. I'm a huge fan of Randall Cobb and expect big things, but I suspect he will remain most versatile and useful playing from the slot. I still don't see Jennings replacement on the roster. And the NFL itself expects revenues to double during the current CBA. Which is about the same as the previous ten years. In any event, contracts can always be structured to keep the key players.

Jennings ability to play 16 games is just another factor in negotiations. Obviously, he can't demand as much as receivers that play 16 games every season. Where negotiations start and where they end up are often very different places. In any event, he's on the team now and the future will take care of itself. If he wants too much he will be gone, but if he agrees to what the Packers are willing to pay he'll stay. I don't much care as long as management has a replacement should he leave. Right now, I don't see who that would be.

we do have a few options to free up cash if needed.Woodson ( i think) would take a cut or redo his current deal to free up some cash.Someone on the radio mentioned Hawk but the cap guru on said show said something to the effect Hawk would only save GB a Million at most because of bonuses, roster bonuses ect.Pickett ( i think would resign as a FA when his deal is up) and would sign for less then what his current deal is ( as hes older now) OR we can let him go,but, so far this year, hes playing well. There is Finley and his 7.5M who id love to see go,we have Williams,Quarrless and Crabtree and a TE can be drafted,so there is places to go to free up cash if need be.

Personally, I would rather see Finley leave than Jennings. What good is getting open if you are dropping the ball as often as Finley does? His potential and his production have never met. We have some other TEs that may not get open as often, but they hold on better when they do.

i AGREE Finley is running out of time and his 7.5M cap space can be used to sign Raji,Mathews,Rodgers ect.Im afraid we just may lose both Jennings and Finley.IF Finley does go,they prob can afford Jennings but do you want to pay more then you think hes worth if your Ted Thompson?

I'm sure Ted probably pays everybody more than he WANTS to pay. Every GM would like to have players sign cheap, but there is a market that drives the salaries. If top flight WRs are getting 10 million a year, then that is what a team has to pay for a top flight WR. The franchise tag amounts kinda dictate that. Ted will pay what he thinks Jennings is worth under the market that exists. Five years from now 10 million per year will be a bargain. Whether Ted thinks Jennings will be worth that kind of money remains to be seen.
