Tebow plays spread offence, hes deffinantly got the talent, but is not what the pros want. Chances are if he were to go into the pros they would use him on defense.
Matthew Stafford, however plays in a more pro form. Despite the loss to Florida this year, he is still an exceptional QB.
Both have incredible talent, but Stafford is more pro QB material.

I agree and so do NFL Scouts. Tebow's a second rounder

0 TDs and 3 INTs against Florida for Stafford, while Tebow had 5 TDs against Georgia. You're right, it's not even close.
There are throws that Stafford makes that Tebow can't, but there are things that Tebow does that Stafford can't, like move around in the pocket and punish Bulldog linebackers.

Matt Stafford is nothing but a cry baby and a whinny butt. He sure can't take a hit like Tebow can. Tebow can play circles around Stafford any day. Lets talk about the game and who did what it sure wasn't Stafford and his puppies

Get realistic gator lover there is a difference between college ball and pro ball. Tebow is absolutely the best college qb, but not the best nfl qb. Tebow is surrounded by speed like no other college qb. Surrounded by more talent and great coaching. How good is alex smith? Do you realize how bad ga would suck without Stafford or Moreno? They have no line on either side of the ball just great LBs and skill positions of offense with no depth. No one passes without a running game not even hefty lefty tebow. Tebow will be as good as Lorenzen in the nfl if he stays at qb - a great practice squad qb. Stafford has the presents and arm to make it as a pro but that all depends on what team he goes to.

I completely agree with ga dawg 56.
Everyone knows that a quarterback in college with speed and an arm is better than one that can only throw. Personally I would rather have a black quarterback like Vince Young in college who can run a 4.5 and throw somewhat well. In college a quarterbacks ability to get out of the pocket and get the linebackers out of position is what is important. That will not work in the pros. The players are too smart and too athletic. Ex: Vince Young in the pros so far. Tebow will not have any chance of being a superbowl winning or hall of fame nfl quarterback, Stafford, however, has all of the opportunity in the world. He has possibly the strongest arm in all of football...college and pros. He has three problems if u ask me, he thinks he can make EVERY throw (leading the ints), know one has taught him how to throw the ball away (leading to ints), and 18 georgia players have gone down with season-ending injuries. Tebow has a healthy team with all the speed in the world. Georgia is starting third string true freshmen on their o-line. Jeff Owens, Danelle Elerbe, and Tripp Chandler are out. Bascially if georgia was healthy this year would have been completely different with a healthy o-line and d-line. To argue that is idiotic. I will not argue that Stafford is a better college quarterback then Tebow, because AT THE MOMENT he is not, however, there is no comparison in pro-quarterback potential. Also, I dont know if yall r blind but Tebow has horrible mechanics that is made up for by the fastest receivers/backs in the nation (Demps/Harvin), in the pros defensive secondaries will eat him for lunch. For all u florida fans out there congragulations on the win this year, your short term memory loss must have yall forgetting our domination over u last year and our overall 47-38-2 record all-time against yall. And something we will always have over u is that Herschel Walker was a Georgia Bulldog, and that is all that matters in the world.

If we are talking COLLEGE ONLY, Tebow is a better quarterback. If we are talking NFL, Stafford is a better quarterback.
Tebow's game is perfect for college football but not the NFL, he will not be able to run like he does now. The D linemen and LB's are much faster, stronger and bigger at the next level and his game will not work there. That kind of offense never has won and never will win in the NFL.
Stafford on the other hand needs to sharpen certain aspects of his game, which he will in the NFL Overall his football skill set as well as the system he plays in are perfectly suited to the NFL.
Stafford is a Top 3 pick in the draft, depending on the Lions or Chiefs, being smart and picking him.
Tebow (who should have won the Heisman in spite of not putting up as big of numbers as Bradford or McCoy, mainly because he plays against real defenses, unlike Bradford or McCoy) is a second day pick and will be a Chris Cooley type player.
***With all that being said I am a huge Stafford fan, same high school and followed him closely at Georgia ***

Would Bradford make it in the NFL?
After one good year as a QB (National Championship and Heisman) I still don’t think that he is NFL caliber. I am alone on this for the most part, but really this guy is surrounded by OU talent and coached by one the best. Alone on a team like the Seahawks, Lions, or other teams with early picks I don’t think he would be any good.
Matt Stafford (from Georgia)
Yes, to the Lions he will likely go.
Not on the QB list, Tebow and Harrell:
Tebow would make a better RB or TE. Put him on the Bengals and have him minister those heathens back to normality. Harrell would be great at Seattle. Start him as a Seahawk QB and get that program back on track.
Colt McCoy is staying at Texas. I doubt he ever makes it at the NFL level.
Shone Greene is an excellent RB for the pros.
I heard Crabtree is going to play another year for Texas Tech.
Jermaine Gresham, Jeremy Maclin and Percy Harvin will be big money picks for any team.
ANY offensive linemen from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Alabama graduating this year should be top priority for Detroit, Houston, and Oakland.

i am not sure, but he DID announce he was gonna stay. his dad was even surprised.
He could come back and have another great season.
the program is growing and with the way it ended in Norman, i could see where one would want retribution

Tough call but for sure, Tim Tebow can ride a new Hybrid motorcycle better than Matt Stafford can.

As a NFL QB its hands down Mathew Stafford. His height and Arm is alot better than Tebow's. His release is alot faster. Tebow's release is very slow and Urban Meyer has said he does not feal good with Tebow being under center taking direct snaps. Stafford is the top in this years draft.
