Heisman #2 or not, Tebow showed what real leadership is after the Ole Miss game but taking a) responsibility and b) actions to take the team to another level. No blaming anyone but a real effort to step it up and play better. That's what's really worth talking about!

the bcs bias has gone way to far...nobody plays as tuff a schedule as the gators did this year against so many ranked teams....as fans we need to push for a playoff system in college for the top eight teams at least....this way we get a true champion, and no teams getting in on light schedules robbing the good teams who have earned it...like the gators have all year...this team will dismantle the texas teck, texas, and so on teams out there....as i said all year penn state never faced a decent team, when they faced an average defense it was all over....their schedule was the lightest out there...the bcs needs to be thrown away..

how do you push texas ahead of florida...??? lol...lets ditch the bcs and have fair and balanced sports in college football once and for all..let the players show who the champs are on the feild, not some bias guys voting..this is a joke..

if the gators win out, take out alabam in ''sec'' championship game...then texas and texas tech have a rematch for big 12 championship....that would put the florida gators playing for the national championship against the winner of texas and texas tech, unless somebody up top folds before then...

but gators need to just stay focused on each and every game until then...there are teams who can play upset like south carolina and florida state, both teams hate the gators and would love to spell doomsday for them..

Calm down Marko. I fully agree that the BCS is a bad system, but let these final weeks play out. As long as we win out and Alabama stays #1 going into the SEC Championship game and we beat them, we will jump to #2 in the BCS rankings and play for the National Championship. The BCS will not keep ahead of us whichever BIG-12 team does NOT play for their division championship.

DUDE, who have the noles played? At least were in a conference that is competitive. And buddy, come on, seriously, the noles over the gators this year?!?!?. I dont know why a 7-2 season gives you the right to talk anything. Have you forgot the past 4 years. Why dont you take the day off CHUMP.

I agree with one thing you said. The game @ FSU will not be a cake walk. FSU's defense is beginning to return to form, after a number of years of mediocrity.
That being said, I'm still not sold on the offense. Smith is having a decent year, but still has all these nagging injuries that keep him down. While Ponder has shown flashes of great play, too often he makes boneheaded mistakes.
If I were you, I wouldn't put too much stock in the loss to Ole Miss. That loss lit a fire under the team's @$$ and they have been playing very well lately.
Prediction: Florida 35, FSU 21
Four in a row and soon to be five.

Dude - It's not a gimme by any stretch. But who has FSU played? You got beat by Ga Tech, the ACC's version of 'Ole Miss. Ponder is going to see more grass in the Gator's game than a Mexican landscaper. You defense is good, but I think our defense will overwhelm you offense, and as it has always been said, Defense wins championships.

OrlandoDolphin has been posting this all week. I don't think FSU is a better team than UF by any means right now, BUT the best thing FSU has going for it right now is the fact that it is such a huge rivalry game. These games have been way closer than they should have the last few years when UF has had FAR superior teams. FSU is better (than their past teams) this year which could spell trouble for UF. That's only IF the Gators let their guard down which I don't think they will after the Ole Miss game stung them. FSU has shown themselves susceptible to missed tackles and speed which is what UF's offense is based on - it could be a close awesome game, or it could be a very ugly crushing for FSU. As for Marko's comments - don't worry - if UF wins out, they will play in the national championship game - no questions. The only team with an argument at that point is USC, but the weakness of their schedule won't let them in. Also, I disagree that UF has played a really tough schedule - LSU is not good, UGA is overrated and they lost to Ole Miss. I'd consider any of the 4 ranked teams in the Big XXII South's division tougher. BTW - UF will crush Bama.

Only post it because constantly hearing Gator friends overlook the game for the National Title game..we are a hurdle to cross this year..dats all.

FSU is not the only hurdle: Spurrier, Bowden, and Saban to get to the big game. There's still alot of work to be done! If they keep playing like the last 5 games, there's no stopping them, but get to cocky and we'll be playing in New Orleans.

Please lose gators! I can't take any more arrogant gator fans talking about how their team is the best thing that's ever happened to the world, 2006 was bad enough.

For the most part a good post, but I've got to take exception with one thing you said. You said that the games have been way closer than they should have been given the talent disparity. Did we beat you 45-12 last year?
