Grand Jury did you say? Two no less. So it never went to court, all the juries said was there was not enough evidence. Remember Benson did not give blood and refused a breath test. That equals zero evidence. Note to all drunk drivers, that is all you have to do to avoid a DUI. How impressive he beat the legal system. What next, does a rich guy cheat on his taxes and not get caught. Gosh.
Also he was on pace for less than 980 yards not a thousand with a 3.4 average before he got hurt again. He also couldn't block or catch out of the backfield, if I am not mistaken FForte has more recieving yards in 4 games than Benson had in his 3 years. As for rushing Forte is on pace for almost 1400 yards and that is after going against some of the better defenses in the NFL the last 3 weeks.
I think Benson and the Bungles go together like hookers and the clap: "it's a perfect match".
You are exactly right.I have been saying the same thing. The only reason Benson got off,was because he refused the sobriety tests. Why would you refuse them if you were innocent. It would quickly prove your innocence & put an end to the situation. God Bless! BEAR DOWN!! GO BEARS!!

Maybe, it's because I've worked for too many law firms in my past. Or maybe it's the number of corrupt police officers in my hometown. I'm not trying to say that Cedric Benson is a great guy, or that I'm happy that he got another chance to play. I'm just not going to join the mob mentality of villifying him, as if he was the reason the Bears haven't won a Super Bowl in 20+ years. And there are a lot of flaws in our "system", but this is neither the time nor place to get into that.

This officially makes the Cincy Bengals the MOST inept, dillusional, poorly run team in the league when they sign a RB the Chicago Bears gave every chance in the book to; and he STILL failed. The commisioner should not only make the McCaskey family sell the Bears for the betterment of the league but make the Brown family sell the Bungals for the same reason. MA-DON!
