This headline reads Childress "not thinking about adding another receiver" ... it should just read Childress "not thinking" ... I was surprised when he stopped running Peterson in the second half (as a Packer fan I was PLEASANTLY surprised at the move)......... The Vikes played better than I thought they would and kept the game close (dispite Childress and the ol' "Rust"slinger)...... Keep up the good work Klink!!!....... GO PACK GO!!!

Childress is an alright coach but he needs to quit trying to run the offense and turn it over the coordinator.Bevells a nice guy but they should try to get a guy like Brian Billick.

it is easy to see (i hope childress can) that camarillo should start and play the whole game for starters. i think berrian could/should be traded for vincent jackson or resign javon walker, and this offense will take off then. berrian has not shown anything much. but better yet, just let brett favre choose his receivers like peyton manning does. IT WORKS!

yes it does work if you dont have a coach with an over inflated ego, Javon should not have been released

I think it is obvious that there are many different types of people who write in on these boards. But almost all of us have one thing in common: a great contempt for Brad Childress as a coach. Perhaps we're not a fair sample, but I think we probably are.

I know Mr. Wilf is hanging onto the old canard that fans always want the coach's head when the team is losing. But perhaps he hasn't noticed that the fans want Mr. Childress' head when he's winning. We don't like him, we don't respect him, we know that the players don't trust him or think he's much of a coach, and we won't embrace him or the team's desire for a stadium until he is gone. I would think that this fact would register with Mr. Wilf, unless he really doesn't give a damn if he keeps the team here or moves it to some place where he can line his pockets.

I thought he was a fan, and I still believe he is. But a fan would see that Mr. Childress is a bad fit in almost every way.

Please, Mr. Wilf, let Mr. Childress take his undeserved wealth and go off into whatever sunset fits his fancy.

Winfield had an exceptional tackling game but got beat twice deep. He has got to keep the game in front of him.
The game plan was to run AP. Childress and Bevell blew it in the second half with bad play calling.
Walker should have been kept as a deep threat. Berrian sucked!

I appreciate you not liking Childress but i hope youre not really serious about not supporting a Vikings stadium because of it.Getting a new stadium and keeping Wilf here will guarantee a contender for years to come.At least he not to cheap to get good players.

After watching the opener, I saw an offense whose coach, quarterback, and coordinator had absolutely no confidence in throwing the ball to their starting wide receivers. During the preseason, Camarillo appeared to be the only wr who had a professional pedigree. I can't decide if BB is worse at returning punts or playing receiver--he is dead weight and Favre does not trust him. Until RIce gets back, we are going to see a lot of forced throws to Shiancoe. We can only hope that Childress benches BB for Camarillo or even signs a WR that knows how to play the position.

Brad Childress 'not thinking'

..........

Tell us something we do not know.

Is see Greenway is back to arm tackling like
he was two years ago. Watching him slide down the
runners leg, and then falling off, is funny. Winfield
needs to move to safty....... he can not cover anymore.

Frazier needs to be our next coach......sooner the better.

“any questions?”

KLINK has no plans to add another wr...wow...like i didn't see that coming. i'm thinking and hoping that the reason for this is because 1/ they have to pay BB anyway and 2/ the fear that he will be claimed by another division rival and come back to haunt us. having said that, i have never felt that BB lived up to the hype surrounding him since he signed...sure he may have had a good season with the bears before coming over, but after Thursday nite; the man has cement hands...coverage is KLINK'S explanation...give me a frekin break...good receivers make good play period. as for KLINK'S popularity...truth hit the nail on the head...this man is as close to a head coach as TJ is to an MVP qb...GO VIKES!!!

Time to make a good decision Chilli, get Javon back. He is a big receiver with good hands and can outmuscle CB.

Is Childress the only one in the Vikes organization "not thinking" about a true deep threat wideout? Will the offensive line not need another Artis Hick type of backup, albeit they did a very good job in protecting Bret in the season opener game against the Saints? Do you think that 3 healthy CBs will remain injury free throughout the season? Do you guys miss Darius Raynaud? As the season progress, would you admit that perhaps you made a mistake in trading him?
