Justin you keep talking like the New Orleans game happened right before the Chicago game. We played Detroit in between and if he was going to be all shaky because the coach damaged his fragile little mind it would have happened then. I agree with the consensus: if you are talking about the punter, he is not doing his job. Kick the ball ya damn crybaby. Or go play GH3 for a living....

Childress is a knothead.. No one is discounting that.

No one is claiming the Vikings kick coverage / special teams are doing anything.

But with that said if the head coach wants the professional kicker to kick it out of bounds do it. Not once but twice he didn't do his job by kicking it to Bush for T.D.'s. Yes the coverage stunk. But you told to kick it out of bounds, do it.

It know seems that Kluwe is just kicking it as far as he can for stats. He is not corner kicking from the 50, but just blasting it into the endzone now. That is not doing the job of a professional punter.

An egotistical punter with bad hands and horsecrap attitude.

I don't care which one goes first Kluwe, T-Jack or Childress. But they all can go.

Saying Chilly made Kluwe loose his groove, if true, would say more about Kluwe than Chilly. Maybe I could see that if it happened inside of a game, but a man's gotta be able to deal with criticism, especially weeks after the fact. He made a mistake, everyone does. It was silly of Chilly (no pun intended) to try out punters who were clearly not in the same league as Kluwe, but Kluwe has to see that for what it is. But then, I think what's really happening here is a few people are blowing the whole thing out of proportion. I guess if you want to keep shooting you'll try any ammunition you can find...

Is there a mental aspect to playing football? Does a player perform better with a positive mindset? Is Phil Jackson one of the best coaches ever because he runs his players under the bus? C'mon 40, playing in the NFL is no walk in the park ..
Had Childress bit his lip and kept it in house instead of blasting dude to the press and emabarrassing him in front of his colleagues, would the outcome have been different..... possibly. Playing at a extremely high level takes full focus and concentration. Was he distracted I d/k... Is Kluwe at fault for dropping the ball, absolutely. Is Chili an **** for running his player under the bus and messing with his head? Absolutely.
Well, I can agree with that post completely. Chilly blew it when he scalded Kluwe publicly. The dropped ball and subsequent block/dance/kick was Kluwe' flub to shoulder. You would have to be able to concentrate fully to be a pro kicker, but I place no blame on Chilly for Kluwe' mistake.

The writing is on the wall. When your players stop or don't do what you tell them you have lost the team. Childress has worn out his welcome among the players as well as fans and rightfully so. The guy shows no sign of his own discipline through his decisions and mind changing..........why should anyone else??????

I like Kluwe. He is a good punter. Do not like the fact that Childress tried to pass blame a couple of games ago. Childress just isn't the leader needed by this team. On a ligher note: The photo in this article. Anyone think that Kluwe is moonlighting as the president of Iran?

Man, if the Sp. teams could have done their job we might have hung one on the bears at their house. I would bench Gordon for a week and put hicks or allison in his place. I love how they say he is mad at himself the whole Purple nation was pissed off at him. I started having flash backs to the Michigan/ND game where blue couldn't field a punt or kick off. Loosing the game because of mistakes on punts and kick offs is worse then anything. I mean how many diffrent plays do they run on Sp. teams? Snap/kick/cover or snap/block/FIELD/return. Man, I had to take a lot of [email protected]#t off of Bears fans living here in Bear country. GO VIKINGS!!!
