With Gus Frerotte at the helm, the Vikings were less predictable. They passed a lot early in the game and then turned to the running game more.

i think everyone is overlooking the fact that the vikings special teams is miserable. It might have been the cause for the loss against the packers. If it wasnt for penalties it would be a lot more obvious to all because those penalties have negated huge plays against the vikes.

still a fan

An average grade for special teams may have been generous. We have an alarming trend of giving up big returns, making few big returns ourselves and yielding field position. Now who will we get to replace Vinny Ciurciu? Ouch. Go Vikings.

Still no impresssed with Chili, The play calling opened up a little bit, but they still missed out on a lot of offensive oppertunities. It wasn't the offense that was steller, they only scored 13 points. The defense is what won the game. We can't expect the defense to score every game. What's up with the special teams???

Chilli - D

I can't wait for Bill Cowher to be our coach next year. We are a coach and a quarterback away from being contenders. What should have happened this year is Favre retires, comes out of retirement after week 2 and joins the Vikes. After the 0-2 start Chilli gets fired and Bill Cowher comes in and we finish 12-4. I am patiently waiting for next year. Skol Vikes!!!

Mr Snuffalupagus (Brad Childress)
is still a moron, PERIOD. This defense could be on the verge of greatness. Gotta kick 12 flavors of dog crap out of Viking killer Kerry Collins on Sunday in Tennesee and show this team we mean business. Not ready to jump back on the wagon yet. Still too much offensive inconsistency and lack of identity on that side of the football.
As for NFL officals.......EAT S*it and die, these are the worst of times in NFL history for officiating. Some of the calls made Sunday were an outright leaguewide embarassment.

Agreed, but Kerry "killer" Collins really actually only had 2 good games against the Vikes, when Collins played for the Giants, and we had Triple T ( Tough Talkin' Tice) for a coach, who, amusingly enough, was the innovator of the kick-ass game plan that can't possibly be altered during the course of the game no matter how badly we're getting killed.

Other than that, Collins has historically struggled against Minnesota, and he's seen NOTHING like the 2008 People Eaters defense in a looooooong time.
