Accepting blame for the Vikings' dismal performance is a good first step. Now, if you want respect, complete the process by tendering your resignation.(I've always admired Japanese politicians who accept responsibility for poor performance then promptly resign. It's only the honorable way out of a bad situation. Don't you wish American politicians and coaches would do the same?)
Actually, in Japan, they not only promply resign, but many times end it all as well.

Poor coaching, rotten special teams play, a horrendous secondary, and a multitude of mistakes(penalties, turnovers, etc.) means that this team is going nowhere this year. Just like Cris Carter said, "The Vikings have been underachieving for the past 10 years". They seem to be content with being average at best year in and year out. I've been a long time fan myself; even through the 0-4 Super Bowl years and this team has let its fans down time and time again. The team has never really had a coach to push the players to live up to their full potential and that's a shame. The scouts do a poor job of recognizing good players. Players must be smart as well as talented in today's NFL, i.e. Charles Gordon. Some things a player doesn't have to be coached on; just have some "common sense". Any idiot knows to just get the hell out of the way when the ball is punted inside the ten yard line and you don't call for a fair catch! Charles, I know you're not the sharpest tool in the shed; but, at least pretend as if you have some intelligence and common sense! You and your girlfriend Cedric Griffin (dumb and dumber) need to be cut from the team because both of you are useless! HEY WILF, THE MINNESOTA FANS HAVE SPOKEN: FIRE CHILDRESS...BRING IN BILLICK; OR COWHER; OR SCHOTTENHEIMER. Then, again, who would want this "hot mess". Go Queens!!!

I think we should use the bye week to get an extention worked out for coach Childress we wouldn't want to let a coach like this get away how many other people can find prodigy QBs or find such good deals trading draft picks he has a KAO and think how he has already helped ADs stats we must get him signed before he gets away!

To hell with al of you. I coach the way I want to. If you fans don't like the way things are being done here in Minnesota too friggen bad. I risked my job on that dang Jackson and look where he is now. He couldn't cut it folks, plain and simple.
I wanted Brett Favre but that dumb Ted Thompson put that out to dry.If my boss had half a brain he would fire me. I am taking him and this team for a pathetic ride.
I never was a very good coach, but ol Ziggy wanted to be some kind of a cartoon hero. I can say that you are the best fans in the NFL for standing behind me every week. Thank You. The media has been just as patient with my decision making. Really folks,I don't call the plays.......Chris Carter has been doing it as a favor to the Vikings. Do you ever notice he never picks us to win? I see us winning a couple more games this season just to shut the naysayers the heck up. We would be a lot better if any one of us could coach. I couldn't coach a third grade math contest.
Well it is time for me to go over to Deja Vu' for a couple of team meetings if you know what I mean.
Before closing I just want to say thanks for all of your support. Without you...... well.......nevermind.

Hang in there Vikings fans.....a small winning streak of 4 or 5 games can put this club in a good position.

They've been in every game, and let's face it....they have some glaring weaknesses. Losing EJ was a tough one, but they went out and got Harris and Thomas....neither an EJ, but an effort to shore it up.

In the long term, we should be more worried about losing this club to LA.......no stadium deal, no team.

With no NFL team we'd have to concentrate our complaints with the Wolves.....good grief!
