I think we should bring in 4 new head coaches for a try out and see if we can find someone more competant than Chilly.

Kluwe would get signed somewhere else so fast--probably Green Bay.. We cannot let him go. How about we bring in Bill Cowher, Steve Marucci (sp), Lane Kiffin and Big Bird for head coach tryouts, they are all more competent than Childress is.

I'm happy with Brad's choice to interview new punters while Kluwe is under contract. It gives me a precident to begin interviewing coaches this week, I mean if Brad can't find a way to score touchdowns from inside the Red zone then I will have to find someone who can!

We could always try to call plays that will result in touchdowns, but then we wouldn't need all these punters.- quote, "Klink"

Childress needs to go. I was almost hoping for a loss on Monday because it might have meant a pink slip for Childress. Kluwe led the league last year with the number of punts kicked out of bounds. Apparently it is inappropriate for coaches to chastise their precious receivers and QB, but one of the best punters in the league? the gloves come off.

I say the Vikings should definitely let Kluwe go. I can't believe that a pro punter can't kick a ball out of bounds.

To Kluwe, Have you ever seen the Green Bay area in the fall? I have to tell you it is absolutely beautiful, and we love Guitar Hero and World of Warcraft. Just wanted to let you know just in case you are looking for a place to relocate.

Chilli is such a clown... Just ditch the KAO and you wouldn't have to punt so often.. Or cover the punts and kicks with players who can do the job. Vikings special teams look like just that "Special"

People are so full of S@#$! Kluwe had no business kicking it to Bush, especially that line drive that didn't even give the coverage unit enough time to get downfield. Since we won the game, people are trying to find another excuse to fire Childress. Yeah, his offense is boring but had Kluwe done the one thing he's paid to do, we wouldn't have had to panic in the last 4 minutes of the game because we were down by 7. TWO punt returns for touchdowns is ridiculous and Kluwe has to do two things in a game, hold the ball for Longwell on field goals and extra points and punt. Without Guitar Hero, Kluwe doesn't have much else on his plate to worry about!

How about instead, we trade you Chilly for a towel boy?

Jesus, all these 'fire the coach' guys. They are starting to sound like 'tinfoil hat' guy.

Who exactly are we going to get to coach if we fire childress? Even if we get a big name coach, what the hell are they going to be able to do mid season to make the team better? Are you going to change the offense? the defense? Pull better special teams players from a magic hat? You change those things mid season on a large scale and we are going to get worse before getting better. The players on the field execute the plays, period. Let's start by letting the QB call some audibles at the line when there are 9 men in the box and let him put his money where his mouth is and go from there.

Make major changes at the end of the season, not during. We're not out of it yet.

Quit giving the negative ninny press more crap to write about. God knows they won't write about anything positive because it doesn't attract readers. It's not winter up there yet, everybody just relax.

Adrian Peterson's numbers for Monday night was

horrible!

Please, this coach will make all the players revolt

And who is responsible for poor predictable play calling, lousy time management, aweful personnel choices (T-joke, non-receivers, tight-ends with hands of stone) and preventing audibles? That would be Clueless. This is year three he has not grown with time in the job. His kick azz offense is offensive but not in a good way.

No, no, i agree completely. It makes no sense to bring in wide recievers and tight ends, the more punters we have, the less we need to worry about getting the ball in the end zone.(quote)-Klink

Childress is. That is obvious. But players still execute plays whether you deem them predictable or not. Sometimes the whole world knows what play is coming for other teams but the player still gets the first down because of extra effort by the player or a blocker. You run a play until they stop it, etc. The buck still stops with the players. Dumping the coach mid season still isn't going to turn the season around. Let's start with opening up the audibles. Dropped balls are not the coaches fault. Make those changes at the end of the season if need be.

Hey Red, to quote yourself, "Dumbass"! Are you kidding me? Obviously, we wouldn't bring in a new head coach during the season. Leslie Frazier would be the interim coach for the rest of this season. But I guarantee, if we fired Childress, the Vikings would instantly become a better team! Do you think our players are still buying into Chili's BS? Hell no, I believe they started tuning out Klink after that pathetic meltdown Week 2 against the Colts! For example, Ziggy fires Chili Week 8 or 9 and makes an offer to Bill Cowher. Then, Cowher could observe from a far and start evaluating players and personnel. He could also start the process of forming a REAL coaching staff for next season. If you're a real Viking fan, then you should welcome change sooner than later. I myself am sick and tired of watching these awful game plans, conservative Big Ten play-calling, under-utilizing A.D. and Chili's un-inspiring Coachspeak pressers. Maybe you need to stop hanging in the smoke-filled basement with Eric, Hyde and Kelso......

When our record reaches 9 losses, yes. Prior to that happening, no interim. Whether or not I am a real viking fan or not has nothing to do with welcoming change, but being behind the team. Are you in the locker room? No. Then what do you know about players tuning him out? All players tune coaches out at times, there are only so many things to say, especially at the professional level. I can bet you none of them want to lose and when it comes to game time they all want to make plays. Make some plays.

Put your tinfoil hat back on, I'll stay in the basement with the kids smoking the good sheeit while you run amok with negativity. On second thought, maybe you need it hit to calm yourself. Step back from the ledge...

I still can't beleive that Zigi can not see that the Childress regime IS NOT the right combination to unlock the superbowl trophy!!!! The offense is terrible and we should be at least top 8. Too bad we let THE coach get away! If it weren't for Cower retiring we might be going to the superbowl this year. Oh well maybe anther 5 yrs or so and we will get a prime time coach in here!
