And that's where you prove that it isn't a choice, hun.
You're so cute when you're trying to make sense and all that!
But it is a choice when a homosexual enters into a deceitful marriage with a straight woman for the only purpose of procreation.

They give me piles of books to read about people who think they know anything, like you. I have to read all their stupid attempts at valid points and it's boring.
I'm lucky I have you to help me with my homework.

I've never heard of a "weak-willed straight" entering into a disingenuous homosexual relationship of convenience.
DUH!

That's because there is no pressure from society for them to do so. Weak-willed heteros just end up cheating on their spouse, doing drugs, gambling, ect, etc.

But there IS constant pressure on gays to hide who they are and pretend to be straight. The few weak-willed ones will attempt to conform to the expectations of a hetero society, but in the end they will only end up hurting themselves and others.

Technically yes, actually no
Other states have passed gay marriage without a vote of the people, want to explain how that happened?
Sure I'll explain. It's called representative democracy in a Federal Republic.

The State Legislatures voted to adjust the marriage laws to apply equally to same sex couples.

You don't seem to have a problem when those same people vote on budgets. If you want to be in a position to decide what is written in the laws become a politician. Or simply vote for ones you agree with.

But stop complaining the system is broken when you already have banned SSM in MN and many other places.

You are the one using a smokescreen.

So you do understand why this is on the ballot.
Thanks for confirming why the marriage amendment is Needed.
Oh I understand why it's on the ballot. I also remember what Matthew 5:11 says:
New International Version (©1984)
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

It's on the ballot so you can wiggle your religious preference into the State Constitution. And once that's accomplished what's next on the shopping list? Only "Christian marriages" would be legal?

It happened in South Africa.

All those relatives you reference are a product of Heterosexual copulation.
Should we all ignore this very basic fact?
No one is asking you to but you seem to be doing a good job ignoring the feelings of those same people.

Don't ignore the fact that every gay man and lesbian is a product of heterosexual copulation. Just like our parents, siblings and other relatives.

No one marries for reproduction, they do that whether married or not; they marry for love.
Should we ignore this basic fact?
sorry had to vote disagree on this one. Sadly people still do marry because of reproduction.

Why then do Homosexuals have much higher numbers if they in fact are the 'same' as their Hetero counterparts?
maybe because we understand it's important to get tested, whether a person is gay or straight.

BTW You keep ignoring the stories now in the news about the growing number of HIV cases among heterosexual seniors and seniors of color?

Perhaps because you can't blame the gays and lesbians for it?

How many partners does the average homosexual have during their lifetime?
I don't know. I've never met an average homosexual. But I've met a lot of outstanding lesbians. Does that count?

You obviously are the exception to the rule
In The Sexual Organization of the City, University of Chicago sociologist Edward Laumann argues that "typical gay city inhabitants spend most of their adult lives in 'transactional' relationships, or short-term commitments of less than six months."
A study of homosexual men in the Netherlands published in the journal AIDS found that the "duration of steady partnerships" was 1.5 years
In his study of male homosexuality in Western Sexuality: Practice and Precept in Past and Present Times, Pollak found that "few homosexual relationships last longer than two years, with many men reporting hundreds of lifetime partners."
The Dutch study of partnered homosexuals, which was published in the journal AIDS, found that men with a steady partner had an average of eight sexual partners per year
You were saying?
Before you get all preachy with that "exception to the rule" thingy don't you think you should fix that 51% Divorce rate problem first?

Gays do not have exclusive rights to being bullied, how about the obese kid?
Do they have a higher rate of suicide? And if it is elevated, is it because they were bullied?
Could it be that they have a self loathing and are already emotionally unstable?
Here's a related issue I don't understand. There's an anti bullying program called "MIX IT UP @ LUNCH".

This program encourages children of different groups, cliques, and beliefs, to sit with each other and break bread.

Hopefully they'll also explore their differences in safe respectful ways. And the cost is very low.

Now also consider that for years Christian Rights groups have been pushing the "school prayer ban" issue. Now along comes a program that would allow those Christian Children free expression IN SCHOOLS and an anti gay conservative "Christian" law group is opposing it?

WTF?
