Harvin can be useful for all sorts of $h!t. Not just returns. Even Bevell & Butthead should be able to stir-up their imaginations alittle bit. One of the names that hasn't surfaced much yet, is Ian Johnson. The dude that proposed to the hot cheerleader on National TV.(I think I got his name right) Haven't seen him in action, but I've seen enough stats on him to know that The Vikes really found a gold nugget with him. A "Chester Taylor" sort, only maybe even faster. I'm thinking maybe the idea was/is to have him be C.T.'s replacement when he leaves. Because Taylor could EASILY start for most teams. Even without AD, with C.T. alone The Vikes would probably have the best RB in division. IMO. It's because of his experience and versitility.- Excited that MN should be able to increase their offensive playbook even with Klink & Bevell calling the shots. The offense has been predictable and stale enough that it could hypnotize bricks.

They also lacked a true QB to lead the team. That's one of the reasons they ignored that position by adding jokes like Sage Rosenfels and dreams of noodle arm Favre..

You guys, the Vikings didn't necessarily "lack a spark on returns" last year... They lacked anything as far as covering other teams' "sparks on returns" leading to one of the WORST special teams years in the record books.

I disagree with the use of Harvin on special teams... To much risk/reward, with it leaning toward the risk side of the pendulum.

You have in Harvin the epitome of a counterpart to Adrian Peterson; someone you can start in the backfield, motion to the wide receiver position, and make defenses have to adjust accordingly. This type of stuff opens up a ridicules number of options for the offense. Even Jackson can easily succeed with Peterson, Harvin, Berrian, and Shincoe out there at the same time.

What kind of defense do they have to come out in? Either some form of 3-3-5 nickel and hope they can somehow stop Peterson, or 4-3 and hope to god that your LB's can cover Harvin and Berrian, and Shincoe (I doubt it strongly).

I think you'll see Sidney Rice bring it together, after the rest of the boys on offense force him into a gut check. There's a reason he was, after 2 years of college ball a 2nd round draft pick. Let's just hope we can start to see that as an offset to our other weapons.

New England '07, Arizona '08, Dallas '07, Minnesota '98? I think that's the type of number of "big plays" you're going to see out of this offense this year. Be it running, passing, or pitching, this will be a fun offensive season to watch.

Oh yeah, we've got a pretty damn good defense too!!!!

I agree about the returns. I know. Those sort of players on offense SHOULD be able to do almost anything. Even with mediocre QBs.(Even with Bevell & Butthead calling plays)

No defense will have to stop the Vikes this year.

TJoke, Sage & Booty. AP can only carry those three losers so far until he wants to be traded.
