We're all so concerned with giving up the big plays at crunch time and turnovers at crucnch time. The Panthers could possibly be in a little beter shape during the games if we had a punt returner. Is there noboby else to return punts ( Steve Smith of course ) other than Gamble. We're last in the league on punt returns. I don't think I've ever seen a punt returner do a little dance like Gamble does and then get tackled, most times for a loss. At least take off running forward and gain 5 yards. Is he afraid to get hit??

How could anybody be stupid enough to comment about the punt return or the defense or offensive coordinator? Even if everybody played horrible, we still could have won the game in the end, but Delhomme over-threw Johnson. Keyshawn did not make it to the corner because the defender was in the way; Then Keyshawn made an adjustment and turned around to catch the ball in his chest; Delhomme should have adjusted also and hit Keyshawn in his numbers to win the game........period!! But Delhomme threw the ball to the corner without seeing his receiver. What if the receiver tripped on the snap??? All qb's make adjustments if needed and Delhomme should have also. There was no one else in the end-zone but Keyshawn and his defender. This is truly a case where wether we played well or not, we still could have won the game! So i beg everybody to stop complaining about:
Gamble
Peppers
Fox
Henning
O-Line
D-line
Foster
or the the fans who want to have a glass of wine during the game.

It goes back to the play calling. We run on 3rd and 8, we make 5 yard passes on 3rd and 6th. 23 yards rushing wont win many games. The fans are not loyal. There were lots of empty seats last Sunday verses the Giants.

Those empty seats you saw where paid for. Thank Mr Richardson and Bank of America for that concept. Noone likes a loser period. I agree the fans are not loyal, the loyal ones cannot afford to attend the games.Public Relations is doing a terrible job at advertising in markets outside of Charlotte. The average person cannot buy tickets on ticketmasters because of the corporations getting first chances (Living in America an its Advantages).

There are actually several problems, there were before the season started and were not addressed: no return man, Wharton is the worst left tackle in the league(he gace up more sacks than anyone), Linebakcers( why didn't we keep Keith Adams?), Minter is too old and can't cover(COOLEY),we should have traded up to get Maroney( a franchise running back),and last thing is that we will NEVER win a Superbowl with Delhomme at Quarterback unless we run a 2-minute offense throughout the game.

The biggest of all these was the LINEBACKERS. What was Fox thinking letting Witherspoon go? I have been saying for years that we can't cover tightends. Why have the reporters just started seeing that. It seems like everyother week some average tightend has a breakout game against the panthers. 50% of the touchdowns we give up are to tightends. I'm hoping someday someone will open their eyes. You can't rely on a ALL-PRO(Morgan) if he is only going to average about 5 games a year if you are lucky. Should have released him 2 years ago.

I just read an excuse by John Fox that "were just not a good team right now"! Well duh! Let's take the team you've made and do some coaching and at least perform at a professional level. Weve lost some key players John, but the back-up guys are good enough to play in the NFL, ACCORDING TO YOUR RECRUITING STAFF! Of all the statements Vince Lombardi made after a loss, I doubt he had the excuse that "were just not a good team right now". A college team could have given a better home performance against Pittsburgh last week. I'm not even going to mention the losses when we were healthy.

Right now there is no hunger or desire in the panthers to win not like the 2004 season.. Just because we lost a few games we cant just throw in the towel, football is a game of heart. you got to play to win. Injuries is not an excuse. They need to want it to win it. We gotta make smart decisions and plays, the game shouldnt just fall on the QB whether Delhomme or Weinke. Switch some positions up and throw your opponent off. I live in Baltimore and my heart and team are with the panthers.I cant afford to go to there games but i watch them faithfully as much as i can. We can do anything if we focus and want it bad enough, hey you will win some and you lose some but you have to play to do either..
