vikings mistake prone ? NO , Pittsburgh forced those mistakes. DEFENSE.

Niether turnover would have happened if it wasn't for the refs helping the Steelers on purpose.
The Vikings scored fair and square and would have been up 17-13 late in the 4th quarter. But the refs took the points off the board with a fake "tripping" penalty. Everything that happened after that point, including the two turnovers, was a fiction, a never-should-have-been. The Steelers would have been down four points and the onus of playing catch-up would have been on their shoulders. How would it have played out? We don't know. We'll never know now because of the biased refs. |

Ever hear of the "sour grapes" syndrome? You need a "crying towel" instead of a Steelers "Terrible Towel". Go STE"a"LERS! |
||||
You need to understand that I am not a Vikings fan upset by getting screwed over. I am a football fan whose favorite team is neither the Vikings or the Steelers. I am disgusted that the league openly plays favorites by constantly handing one certain team (the Steelers) officiating gifts which have significant impacts on the outcomes of games. It's like when a Super Star in the NBA gets treated with kid gloves just because he's a Super Star and makes the league a lot of money. Why? Who the F is Michael Jordan? Who the F are the Steelers? They don't deserve special treatment. F the Steelers if they can't win on their own, tough. Keep the playing field level, NFL! |

well put! the steelers D consistently puts the wood to other teams and they are left dazed and confused as are their fans. |

Viqueen fans better hope Brett does pull a Favre and give up on the rest of the season. Like he has done the last few years. If tne Vikes make to the Super bowl, they better hope the Steelers aren't there, because Pittsburgh won't go easy on them like yesterday.

Seems to me the Steelers got a few bum calls too. Were you okay with those bad calls? Or only calls that impacted the Vikings? Provide substance to your argument. |

Keep telling yourself that, eventually you will believe it. |

Again, MORON, if the league wanted the Steelers to win so badly, why did they call the phantom offensive pass-interference call on a TE who was on the side of the field from the play and was clearly just running his route.(That would have put the Steelers up 7-0, and then I guess "everything that happened after was a fiction.") All they had to do was NOT make an egregiously bad call against the Steelers. You're also going to have a hard time explaining why they refuse to call five or six clear holding penalties against James Harrison per game (instances where a lineman has his forearm around Harrison's throat and is bending him backwards!). It would be an easiest way to help the Steelers--simply calling what's there--but they don't do it. The NFL must be the worst at this conspiracy thing. Finally, I'll say it again: BRETT FAVRE'S COMEBACK IS THE NFL'S PUBLICITY WET DREAM. They are not trying to sabotage it, you clueless, babbling mongoloid, even if it means helping their "favorite" team, the Steelers. |
||||
I do , and how many super bowl rings do they have ? |
||||
The first one was CLEARLY forced by the LBs. They got into the backfield and slapped the ball out of Favre's hand. On the second one, they definitely got an assist from Taylor, but part of the problem was Favre getting rid of that ball sooner than he had to because all the blitzing D coming in from who-knows-what direction had him spooked. So the final tally: 1st turnover - completely forced by the D; 2nd turnover - partially forced by the D. Case closed. |

that's what a pressure D does. forces turnovers, sacks the qb and wins championships. the vikings have a pretty good d too. the problem is once you neutralize allen they don't have a quy on the other side who is as much of a threat. also starks pretty much handled allen all game long. he's good, but he's no james harrison. |

I like how this guy pretends to be just a non-partisan fan concerned for the well-being of the NFL. But in actuality he's a bitter, crybaby Eagles fan who's been all over the web in the past bashing the Steelers right and left for every imaginary reason he can come up with. It's pathetic. |
||||

Officials make poor calls and miss obvious infractions in every sporting contest there is. It's called human error. The Steelers get no more or no less than any other team. I'm so tired of hearing everybody whine about the Steelers getting all the calls - that's simply not true. It's just a way for the losing teams' fans to try to justify their losses. Time to evolve past the maturity level of the third grade everybody. Suck it up and move on. Maybe your teams will start playing soon.

Good post. These little droolers can't understand the level of success the Steelers have enjoyed over the years, but the secret is pretty simple: good ownership and a stable, consistent organization. They do a superb job of hiring coaches and personnel people, then they stick with their excellent hires even when things go awry. They don't tolerate divas, and they seek out players who share their team-first philosophy. Most teams don't do all of these things, and some don't do ANY of them, so their fans are left to wallow in their bitterness and make up absurd conspiracy theories to explain why they continue to suck while the Steelers flourish. |

Cordell Stewart? Just saying. The Steelers made two big defensive plays to win the game. They won. Ass whooping some here say? Hardly. The only ass whooping I saw was William Gay getting in Peterson's way. THAT was an ass whoopin'! Would like to see our teams meet again in February. Good luck. I'll be rooting for the Steelers. |
