Mizzou survives 'comedy of errors'
“It certainly wasn't because of a lack of effort, but certainly there's a lot of things that can be corrected.”
It's hard to claim the University of Missouri played poorly when looking at the box score of Saturday's 40-34 victory over Illinois. via St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Was Missouri coaches tried to give the game away with questionable decision making? One standout was going for two so early in the game that if not for the pass interseption with 51 sec left probably would have cost them the game. You have to wonder, last years so many dumb calls by the coaches that cost them games with trick plays that only work about 10% of the time, why we continue to do them. Tony Larussa with Cardianal gets a lot of heat for going with the percentages all the time, but he usually wins. Coach P should look at the percentages and stick to odds, the games would not be so close. You have to wonder when Ill. could not stop the short pass to the Tight ends, why did MO. start trying to run double reverses and other trick plays, only the coaches know.
