The Heisman Trophy isn't called "The Mark May Award" for a reason! It represents the best football player in the nation for that year. Who was the best player in a mediocre year? Do you give credit to an injured Sophomore for doing something special? He'll be back next year and the odds on favorite if he can handle the pressure. If Tebow handles this challenge, he'll earn it. Hawaii is already talking trash to him. How about going back to the guy who just missed last year? McFadden beat the top ranked team this sorry year. Was it his fault that Arkansas had no passing game? Missouri's QB couldn't beat Oklahoma and that knocks him out. Hawaii isn't a top 25 team on the Mainland and that knocks him out. If it's between a Sophomore and a Senior who didn't win it last year, it belongs to the senior if he can win his last game. I hope McFadden rushes for another 300 yards to earn it outright. Tebow is injured and he should be back. It was a very poor year.

Tebow should hands down be the Heisman choice - but if I were a betting person, I'd predict the Senior-ity in the race will win and Mcfadden gets the title.

FACE IT, TEBOW AND THE GAYTORS PILING ON POINTS AGAINST EVERY TEAM SHOWED ME THAT MEYER HAS NO CLASS AND TEBOWS STATS ARE PADDED BECAUSE OF PLAYING STIFFS!

WHEN IT COUNTED, TEBOW & THE GAYTORS LOST 3 HUGE CRUCIAL GAMES!

WHEN IT COUNTED MCFADDEN OUTCLASSED THE UF QB!

TEBOW WILL HAVE A CHANCE NEXT YEAR TO PROVE HE CAN WIN WHEN IT COUNTS & AGAINST WORTHY OPPONENTS!
INSTEAD OF LEADING HIS TEAM TO A 3 TIME LOSER!

MCFADDEN IS THE CLEAR HEISMAN CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm, last I heard those were "style points" that the BCS loves.(thus the need for play-off system instead of beauty contest). When comparing the two players stick to the the stats. You are touting "class", but have none yourself. Reference: "Gaytors".

For your information, Tebow became the FIRST major college player to run for 20 touchdowns and throw 20 TD passes in the same season. Tebow ran for 838 yards and a Southeastern Conference-record 22 touchdowns. He is the first double threat of this kind and the future of what will be expected from QBs.

Florida lost 3 conference games and Arkansas lost 4 conference games. You point about teams losses?

I can't figuire it out, except that maybe you're a bitter Ohio State fan too?

TEBOW THE #1 GAYTOR IS THE MOST SELFISH PLAYER I'VE EVER - HE ALWAYS CALLS HIS OWN NUMBER!
SO HE CAN LOOK BETTER AGAINST STIFF TEAMS!

HE WILL BE THE ONLY HEISMAN WINNER TO BE A 3 - TIME LOSER!!! HOW PATHETIC!!! THERE ARE AT LEAST 5 SEC PLAYERS MORE DESERVING OF THE AWARD THAN TEBOW THE "STIFF"!!!

The Heisman is not the MVP of the best team each year, but that's what the media usually focuses on. And Florida's 3 losses were to Auburn, LSU, and Georgia. Most teams would lose to these teams. LSU and Georgia are both in the top 5.

You can try, but you can't take away from what Tebow has done this year. He will be in the driver's seat when Florida steamrolls Michigan in the Capitol One Bowl. Michigan cannot defend against him.

win the conf championship. Wake up everyone the trophy should go to the person whose team won their conf title or it is worth nothing. Will he become a pro rather than go back to school

It is not a team award. It is an award for the best college football player. Tebow was the best college football player this year. There were other players that were good this year, but none equaled his performance.

Sounds like the Gator-haters are out in force!! Tim Tebow was the clear choice. The award is about the INDIVIDUAL person playing COLLEGE football.
Did anyone out there hear Bobbie Bowden's post-game conference after playing UF? He said it all, including that Tebow should win the Heisman. This speaks volumes when teams coaches (who tried to recruit Tebow too) speak this way.

The Gator Nation is proud!

Tim tebow shouldnt have won the heisman trophy for a few reasons. the touchdowns he gets are supposed to be ran by the runnin back , if that happened and i played running back I would be pissed. Percy Harvin is a tremendous player and he should of had over half of tebows touchdowns.Florida is just better than most of the teams they played ,they are always in the top in recruiting so its not like tebow is playing with a bunch of stiffs. most coaches dont run their quarter back because of the injury factor and tebow got hurt also for a crucial lost against georgia.

the media made tebow the winner before the vote was even in... they wanted him... they got him... it doesn't make him the best, nor does it make him the most deserving; just makes him their favorite... i do think he's an exceptional athlete, but i don't think he should've won it this time around... the player who's demonstrated progressive and significant improvements in his accomplishments and abilities against the toughest competition throughout his career to this point should have gotten the award... that is none other than; darren mcfadden...
