That article is good but I have a problem with the "most of his 22 rushing TDs were from close in," comment. Does that make them any worse? Doesn't that tell you something?

I can't believe you are a writer. Do your research! 68% of Tebow's rushing TD's were 5 yards or less. 60% of McFadden's rushing TD's were 5 yards or less. Thats pretty comparable numbers. Its a lock anyways. Tebow is way ahead now.

Waite till you see what Tebow does next year. It will eclipse any memory of any controversy over this years race.

Tebow has not distanced himself from other QBs and he is in a spread offense built around the QB. He had one of the best most experienced offensive lines in the country and ran in an open field most of the time and yet his longest run was 24 yards. Look at Alex Smith under Urban Meyers at Utah, virtually the same stats as Tebow. If you saw them play this season McFadden was the most outstanding player -- every team had 2 and 3 spies follow him on every play and with no passing attack it was easy to commit to stopping the run. You take a pounding over 12 games, put 200 on #1 in that last game and avg 140+ that is what the Heisman is all about. McFadden's QB rating is 260, a mere 100 pts over Tebow's.Stats for a QB better be superior to all other QBs or lead to an undefeated season to equate to most outstanding.

Please add up last years stats with this years stats and compare them to others, you will still be amazed as we were watching Colt Brenan play! He is a pure quarterback and will be playing as one in the NFL. Who else directed an undefeated team? Every team with a loss had a chance to do it!!!

Almost half of his TD runs came from 5 yards or more out. He put up those record breaking stats while facing 7 of the top 25 defenses in the land. Brennan shouldn't even be in the discussion. Any of the top Qb's in college football could put up great numbers in that system against the level of competion he faced all year. I have no problem with a Qb being in a system that allows them to put up big numbers, as long as they are doing it against some decent teams.

Yes, hwbgator1, I can't wait for Tim next year. He can put his heisman trophy next to all his non-bcs trophies. Heisman winner, big deal, I have more respect for Chris Leak for taking them to the BCS National Championship game. Go gator fans, you got a heisman winner this year, and watching us at home when the big game is on.

A little envy and bitterness from last year, tigerlover?

Mr. Conner,

Just wanted to thank you for your journalistic integrity. Some believe that you made an irresponsibly weak case against Tebow. I want to give you credit for finding ANYthing at all negative to say about the obvious Heisman trophy winner, current (mythical) National Champion, and all around awesome guy, Tim Tebow. It would've been easy to bandwagon, but you gave it your best shot. Keep up the good work.

The Florida losses were the defense's fault, not Tebows. He did his part, but the defense must do theirs too for the teams record be better. Can't blame Tebow for that..
