Most knew the Woodson signing was big, he's probably been a bargain with his play, but Pickett and Chilar aren't in the same class, decent players/signings I agree though. With Woodson's play last year, and continuing this year, he'll likely have a bust in Canton.
So your best defensive player is a FA, yet TT sits on his hands even when there is a glaring need.
Maybe his caution will pan out in the long run, but even with Aaron's youth, you hate to waste any year because of inactivity.
We already know what the pundits were saying about GB this year, unseating Minnesota, likely deep playoff run, but TT seems indifferent.
In about three weeks we will see how these moves/non moves pan out for our respective teams.
I wonder if he thinks Bigby and Harris coming back will solve this? OK Bigby and Collins ( if Bigby is healthy) is the best safety combo possible on the Packers roster and a darn good one, again assuming Bigby's ankle is back to pre injury form 07 and thats a HUGE IF.Harris (IMO a bit overrated) BUT still frees up Williams for the nickel and maybe Pat Lee or Sam Shields for the dime and eliminate Bush for anything but Special Teams where he is actually good at.I beleive in Desomd Bishop, to do a good job at MLB and Hawk in the inside and of course in TT fasion,he called up a LB from the Practice squad.1 more lose in the LB corp will be def.tough if not already depth wise and i can see a defensive scheme change or move Cullen Jenkins to OLB to help out,(althoguh i have no idea if Brad Jones can play Inside or not,so how much help can it be i dont know).Proof is in the pudding so lets do battle and the better team for that night will win,and the better team overall will win in the long run most likely, depending on how far back Minn is when they are in sync and ready to go and or health on both sides down the stretch.Happy Health to you and yours and my best to everyone!

Good description. He always seems indifferent. You could even say detatched. It would be nice to some emotion. Some evidence of a desire to win would be acceptable, to put it mildly. Ted is just a bean counter. He has all the personality of a soggy piece of toast. I could tolerate that though if he would show the will to fill holes with quality players.

The best running back Ted has drafted in 6 years is Brandon Jackson. Even if a person is impressed with Jackson, it's obvious the Packers need some help at running back. The Packers current #2 back is John Kuhn, a full back. Yet Ted let Marshawn Lynch go to Seattle for a 4th round draft pick. What kind of ego does the guy have? Where did he get it? What has he accomplished? He's NEVER drafted a Pro Bowl running back like Lynch. He's had busts like Justin Harrell (1st round) and Brian Brohm (2nd round) but it's better if he keeps that 4th round pick? For next season? His best 4th round pick in 6 years is Josh Sitton. I know you're pretty familiar with Packer players, but Josh isn't known to many people that aren't Packer fans.

There are those people that claim the poor, poor Packers simply can't afford to be competitive. I guess that could be true. Perhaps the only teams that can afford to sign talented are the big money rich teams like the Vikings.

Sitting there watching Ron Wolf orchestrate GB probably made TT think it's easy, after all, he was hand picked by Ron to succeed him. As soon as you guys hired Ron, I was quite certain GB would be a team to be reckoned with, and he proved me right.

Being publicly owned may have something to do with TT's reluctance to take any chances with FA, but if I had a some packer stock framed up on the wall, I'd want TT to get the best player available in FA if there was a need.

Don't make me laugh about the 'big money' teams because as I'm sure you are well aware, the Vikings aren't one of them.
I commend Ziggy for his effort, he told Klink early to let him know what he needs to succeed, and he'd do his very best to make it come to pass. I have no beef with Zigmunt, just wish Red McCheap wouldn't have had his nose in our team.
Our cap guru Rob Brzezinski is the real hero here if you ask me. He always finds a creative way to fit high priced players under the cap without mortgaging the future. He may be the best in the business.

Now that the season is under way, you've been less combative and offer up very good posts GBPfan. Youíve been nice to me, and itís starting to worry me, lol.

I was being abit sarcastic about the Vikings wealth. It just goes to show, where there's a will, there's a way. I commend the Vikings myself for making the effort and being creative. Of course, I hope it doesn't work for them, but I admire the effort.

I notice that you too can vary between being combative and ...?... shall we say conversational? I don't hold grudges and I can acknowledge any fact whether I like it or not. I'm sure some people don't think that really makes me "nice." If I have accidentally been nice, that will worry more people than you, including me!

If the truth be known, my biggest problem is that I'm too nice a guy. So naturally, I need to hide it. So keep it on the DL, would ya?

You got it, lol.

I was raised/tutored by one of your own, DOG
The Gentleman lives/lived in Florida, played semi-pro football for Racine I believe, first name is John.
He was on the old topix site, haven't seen or heard from him in years, but I left the old topix site before the transition.
He had a bout with a serious disease, and was using some of his topix time for rehab.
Always admired the Man, we went round and round, mostly me taking a beating. Ended up respecting the heck out of each other.
Anyway, I'm the same, I don't take anything here seriously, nor do I hold a grudge.
People usually get from me what they offer up, least that's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol.

Back on the old Pioneer Press topix site, we had more leeway, you could add pictures to the posts, change the fonts, one could be much more creative when posting.
Miss that bunch, anyone here know of which I speak?

Don't you think you've gone too far? Yes, the Jets are obnoxious and I don't care for the big city teams or the amount of media attention they get. But I know I can live with the pain of a Jets win over the Vikings!
