I never thought I'd be saying this, but it may be time to put in another QB instead of frerrot. He's throwing far too many int's. He is also too slow to avoid any kind of pass rush. Maybe put in the rookie fron USC or even try TJ again(cant believe I just said his name). Frerrot is doing his best to help us lose instead of win games.

Well, I think you are correct. The vikes are barely overcoming Gus' mistakes. We need to know if Tjack is worth keeping before we go out and re-invent the wheel at QB again. I think they need to get a known good QB coach to work with TJ and give him a final chance to prove his worth. I know he stunk it up in the first few games, but the other phases of the game were not helping. The special teams still smell, but the defense and O-line/receivers are becoming less mistake prone. I think all that, coupled with the mistakes TJ was making, magnified the TJ situation. Is a catch 22...

Oh ya, meant to pose a question. Does this injury pose any problems for the vikes defense? Is there a competent backup? Not too familiar with Gordon.

Gordon seemed a little lost early on but had seemed to be coming on of late. I don't know about Sapp. He was hot/cold at KC....more cold.

Changing QBs again isn't going to happen unless he has another 3-4 3 int games, and by that time the season will be lost. So TJack will only come back if Chilly has "nothing to lose". We're stuck either way. Chilly hasn't given up on TJack. If Gus plays well the rest of the season, he will be the heir apparent. So what do we do with TJack then? He'll sit on the the bench as a project QB and a distraction...kinda like that old project car in the garage that never gets finished and then gets sold for parts.

We're in a real gray area with the QB situation.

Where is Hicks? Did he suck that bad? I thought we picked him up for returns?

Would have been a lot easier decision if crosby would have nailed that field goal. That would have definetely put the heat on chilly, due to Gus'3 pics and another loss to GB. Speaking of returns, looks like Mewelde Moore is doing well for the Steelers. Sh#@!

I don't know much of Gus' history, but all of his interceptions this week were poorly thrown. They were laser type throws that were intercepted before they reached the intended receiver. If he would have put some arc into those passes, they probably would not have been intercepted. Incomplete? Who knows.

To me, it was a total lapse in concentration on Gus's part. Is TJack the answer? Not from what I have seen. He is just not consistent or accurate.

TJ also didn't throw this many picks. He was playing not to lose his job, but the play calling also didn't help. We threw like 6 times against Indy, and one of his passes were dropped for a sure TD. I say reinsert him into the lineup this week at least he can scramble a bit against the Bucs. Gus might take 5 sacks or more this week because he's now afraid to make a mistake.

It really is catch 22

i didn't think we should have benched tavi in the first place...more like klink. benny sapp will be fine in the nickle. god i wish we still had mewelde, i hope that guy gets a starting job somewhere. he may not be fast but he is strong, has great feet and is a terrific all around back.

Like it matters this year. Gus is not the man and Adrian is fumble prone averageing about one a game I think. I was hoping to get a superbowl win from this team before my time on earth is over, but I am begining to doubt it. The defense is still a couple players away and special teams just sucks, We still need another reciever too.

Then we're just playing musical quarterbacks. Someone has to s@ck enough to be cut. My fear is we're setting ourselves up to be in the same QB lineup next year, especially if Chilly keeps his job.

If Farve had been in instead of Gus, they'd be saying "that's just Brett for ya...what a guy...God love him."

Hate this for Gordon. As a nickel-back, he was valuable, and I'm not sure Sapp or McCauley are going to fill the bill. The coaching staff is obviously concerned if they're browsing the waiver wire looking for a replacement. I wish Gordon a speedy and full recovery.

As for the QB situation, we're stuck. We can either go with Frerotte, and his ups and downs, and still have a vertical passing game, or we can put TJack back in and have nothing but dump-offs and short passes.

What really fries me about this is that Tyler Thigpen is starting to look pretty good in KC. The fact that Childress cut this guy in favor of Brooks Bollinger makes me sick.

Thigpen is a way new development here (in K.C,). He's unproven, but everybody starts somewhere, I suppose. I mean, the media (and us fans, too) are so flighty...One day he stinks, the next day he's great. Thigpen...the verdict is still out. He stunk it up in preseason. He's not necessarily the best QB KC has...he's all they've got.

Didn't solve anything with this post...probably pointing out the obvious...sorry.

Nasty injury to Gordon. Man, when a guy's laying on their stomach, and their foot and toes are pointing toward the roof of the dome... Ouch!

TJax isn't the answer any more than Gus is. I like Gus, but he's kinda like Grossman.(Good Rex/Bad Rex) Jackson, last I saw, looks like a deer about to become street pizza. Booty's too much of a virgin at this point in the season to even think about starting. So it's Gus. Tampon Bay ain't gonna be no walk-in-the-park either.- Man! That Allen's some monster, huh? Just like I knew he'd be.

It sure is hard watching these games,we dominate most games yet we still found ways to keep teams hanging on to the end... whats up with all the picks, unspecial teams given up 6 TD'S....JUST think , how many games we'd have won had we not given away alll those points....we really do got a good team,it souldn't have to be this way... we don't need to be fronting teams 14-21 points a game.

Like many on this board and the media have said weeks ago,"Gus is no better than T-Jack"! Gus is whack! Throw T-Jack back in there, since the WR's seem to be able to hold onto the football now, without dropping it. Gus is one big hit away from being on the injured list anyway...Those Backers in Tampa are similar to ours with E.J. Henderson...They will bring the Pain!
