I was a raider fan for my whole life (36 years), up until about a week ago. I honestly believe that Al Davis has lost all concepts of reality. I will not root for them until he is gone - you fill in the thought. Yes, Al loves big names - Moss - to name one, but what do they put around him - nothing. Davis won't even let Kiffen join in on pre draft meetings! Davis is supposed to be an evaluator of talent? Can he even see ten feet in front of him, over his grandma glasses? I've had enough and I hope they loose all 16 games, every season, for the rest of Al's life and then his ghost is forced to haunt the L.A. Colleseum for eternity.
you are not a raiders fan and never were a true fan doesn't jump ship just because of the owner.you make me want to puke.

Oh and the wort mistake evar made by Al Davis was sitting Marcus Allen down forever because he didn't like him. He didn't trade him, he just payed him and benched him, for countless games, but you probably don't remember that because you probably wern't born yet.
that is the only thing you said that i can agree with.get off our blog i'm sure the guys over on the kc & denver blogs will welcome

Heard a rumour that Oakland & Cincy are talking a trade for Chad Johnson.

The trade would see Stu Schweigert, Fabian Washighton and a 2009 draft pick go to Cincy for Chad !?!?!

What are you guys in the US hearing about it ?

Where did you hear this? All I have heard is Cincy plans to keep him. I would like that but where would that leave Curry? He would be #4 and then Higgins would be odd man out.

Faith - here's where I read it;

http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthre...

Its been reported by local sports stations in Oakland and Cincy, by Don Simons, and sportsnation that Raiders are offering a deal to acquire Bengals WR Chad Johnson

A deal that would send Stuart Schweigart, Fabian Washington, and a 2009 Draft Pick (reported a 2nd and maybe 4th)

This might be a talk to boost ratings, but it was on sportsnation, radio, and Don Simons believes Chad will be a Raider on Draft Day

...don't kill the messenger, i'm very skeptical of it, i don't feel like looking for a legit source...saw it on raiderfans.net under Rumor Mill

i know one thing, we are getting a band of characters like we had during the winning years, and the means...winning is coming...along with a real coach

imagine if we got Johnson and had a Johnson Walker one two punch...a Fargas McFadden One two puch and a top 5 defense in the NFL...We would be a team to be reckoned with. Of course I don't know where we would get the money to do that...Johnson wouldn't be cheap....neither would McFadden.

I can't really quantify it with figures, but I would think that the Raiders stand to make more money winning rather than losing...more fans with money in their pockets, sold out stadiums at home and on the road, paraphanalia sold, not to mention more national tv exposure and all that sort of thing.
