We all have made mistakes in our youth. That includes the powers that be in the NFL. Murice deserves the opportunity to make good.
Give him his chance and if he screws up then dump him.

For every Purify, there are 10x receivers with more speed, better moves, better hands and certainly a better attitude.
He'd fit right in with the Denver Nuggets.

To noraiders, as well as any other negative people. Personally I played with Mo, any one who wants to talk bad about him more than likely has never met Mo, nor watched him play a game. Everybody makes mistakes. However only the one under the microscope get scene.

We locally should be supporting this individual, hoping the best for an individual that might of had some difficulties during his youth, yet trying to improve himself and make his future brighter (You never know, he may remember his home town here in the future and bring a lite fame to brighten our futures.).

Good Luck, Purify!

I can't believe the 49ers, with their only good receiver almost ready for a rocking chair, won't give Mo a good look !

Looks like Maurice will fit right into the Bengals merry band of fugitives and law breakers.
If there were ever a team that would give Purify a chance, it would be the Bengals. I hope 'Mo' earns some stripes, but not the ones that Chris Henry and company have earned, the ones you get from behind bars.

all these references to character issues....i thought the only thing Mo did was serve up some justice for a couple of racist hicks outside a Nebraska bar.

So it is fine for 'Mo' to sink to the level of racists and lay down some vigilante justice eh?
What kind of message does that send to kids?

Everybody makes mistakes. They are life's lessons. It's your ability or failure to learn from them that shows your character. Let's give this YOUNG man the opportunity to learn. Who on this site hasn't had opportinities to learn?
Good Luck to Maurice Purify!

Isn't this the same 6'3" 244 pound individual who, just two weeks ago at a casino sponsored "fight night", was walking through said crowded casino with his elbows flared out bumping through people in a menacing manner? It appeared to those who observed this boorish behaviour that the man was stewing for a fight, more reflective of his character than of one who was trying to shuck any past indiscretions.
I do wish Mr. Purify all of the best and I hope he will/has learned the lesson that the public is getting tired of out-of-control celebrities and, as a celebrity, you generate the attention of those around you. Good luck Mr. Purify

I have known Mo for over 10 years. Mo has never been the man to get into trouble or start fights. I don't deny that he has been in them, but he was rarely the one to start them. Do you even know Mo FanAtical1??? He has been through hell and back this last year, and you know I don't blame a man for drinking! He has lost 2 very close people to him, plus many more in the past. I think it is great, a man like him can come from a small town and end up so big. He has accomplished a lot for himself and I think the negativity is pointless. You hope he gets stripes from jail huh?? So you are saying you want him to fail? No one wants to hear what you have to say, if you are only going to wish bad things apon people.

It only makes me wonder what FanAtical1 has failed to do in his/her life that makes him wish negative things upon other people. That takes som real class. Try meeting people before you pass judgements, because I`m sure you have skeletons as well

Best of luck to him. By the way, what was his GPA in college? Oh, that's right, sports thugs in the NCAA really don't have any academic expectations like the rest of us. It's all taken care of. After a year of disgraceful behavior by players in the NFL I think the league is just gunshy about drafting the thug mentality.

Count me as one of those surprised/skeptical that the Cincinnati Bungles are considering Purify. Not to knock the kid, but those who follow the NFL know the Bungles have the worst image problem in the league when it comes to players getting into trouble with the law.

When Mo was younger, did he used to lead the police on merry chases around town on his funky unregistered motorcycle?
